    I have always been proud of my rank. When I came in 20 years ago, rank wasn't easy to get. Not like it is nowadays anyway. My truck has sat in the Arizona sun for almost 2 years now so I think I will just gamble and hope for the best. Worse comes to worse, a quick repaint will take care of that....

    On a side note, you never mentioned where you are stationed....?

    I know How the pay scale works. But some army jobs have pay bonuses. Plus the outrageous signing bonuses. I didn't get one single bonus when I enlisted and the army. Offered me a 20,000 signing bonus for prior service in my job field. The highest Marine bonus I have heard of was 4,000 (3,200) after it was said and done. Also the Psyops guys we were with in Afghan got a pay bonus for What they did. Not so in the Marine Corps psyops.

    I see what you are meaning now. I thought you were saying our pay scale is different. I wish there was a signing bonus when I joined. Did you guys not get re-enlistment bonuses or anything?

    I got a reenlistment bonus in 07, nice little chunk too, but later as the corps started to down size, the bonuses became little to non existant depending on your MOS.
