I was looking for a bed mat and the Protecta Bed Mat sells for 59 dollars here and that seems to be the cheapest I have found but I am curious as the next lower price is 79 dollars. Has anyone here ever bought something from the company "Truck Candy"? Thanks in advance

Yeah I bought my go rhino steps from them. Fast shipping (2 days!) and cheapest I could find. I had a good experience.

I can't help you but I am also looking for a bed mat. Please post your decision and experience once the deal is complete.

Is the Protecta any better or worse than the OEM mat with the 'Tacoma' lettering (On Sale For: $82.60)? Is it worth the $22 savings?

Where did you find the Tacoma mat for that price? My dealer quoted me something like $110.

I was just getting ready to order the Protecta mat from this place:
    http://www.truckcustomizers.com/products/R4LRV4.1.html
    $58.99 plus $14.99 shipping

I sell the protecta mats, I am pretty certain they are the supplier to Toyota for there mats. Go with the Protecta.

TRD Parts 4 U has them on sale. Unfortunately, they want $25 to ship so the total cost is $107.60 shipped.

The Protecta does look identical - aside from the lettering. You are still at a $34 savings with the price you posted above.

Is it me missing it or do the the mats not come in 5' for 2005-2009 models? Is this the same with the OEM mats?

The protecta mats have a scribe line for the 5' beds. Although I have one sitting around the shop that is actually 5' :notsure: but it is a few years old.

I went and bought it the Protecta Mat yesterday and paid 74 dollars delivered and this morning got a response that the mat is already on its way. As I live in Northern Ca. the mat is coming from Southern Ca. so should be here later today or tomorrow. That is quick:yay:

I believe Janster has Protecta in the bed of her truck. I am thinking of getting the same. Be sure to review the product and post pics! Thanks!

Last tracking is that it is in Sacramento so I should get it tomorrow or the latest Thursday I will take pics and I think someone said here that they think Protecta makes them for Toyota. If that is the case it is kind of an OEM.

I have a protecta mat and it works great. I have random stuff in my bed all the time as I have a tonneau cover and stuff never slides anywhere. It's very heavy rubber definitely seems like a quality mat.

My local dealer wants $95 for the OEM bed mat.

I'm waiting to hear from someone who has seen or owned both (OEM and Protecta). Is the Protecta any better quality (or vice versa)?

If they are exactly the same, I think I'll pay the extra $20+ sales tax to buy locally and have the 'Tacoma' lettering.
