Ok, so keep in mind I have a 4 banger. Don't hate, don't hate! So, my slave cylinder is squeaking, and Toyota is going to fix it under my warranty this coming up Tuesday. Well, I informed the service advisor, "Since the tranny has to come out, can you please and check if I have the ASIN clutch or the LUK clutch? Because my clutch travel is a little to much I think."
It isn't slipping just yet, and she only has 21,000 miles on her and a 09. So, does this bulletin fall under the 4 bangers or not? Should I ask him to take a picture too?
    Thanks

No need to pull the trans to replace the slave cylinder, thats fords crappy design. If you meant release bearing, then yes, it has to be pulled. When does it squeak, and how do you make it stop, if at all?

It only squeaks when you apply the clutch. The tech said, "it has to come out."

If it's still working, Toyota isn't going to change the clutch out just because you got the undesirable one in there. I suppose you could request a picture. If the tech is cool, it shouldn't be a problem.

If it is coming out for replacement of the release bearing, and has a LUK clutch, it would be a perfect time to drop in an aisin, even though that portion would be your bill. An '09 on the tail end of warranty, I would be doing it, unless it already has an aisin in good condition. You would be paying for the parts, and very minimal extra labor to r+r the flywheel, resurface it, and re + re of the clutch. 1 hour tops.
