Another craptacular thing with the spare under the truck is getting it out from under the truck on the trail. Always seem to get a flat in the worst places. Plus ur still gonna need a place to put the flat.

Why not get a tire mount for the bed? Do you still have space in there? MetalMiller on here makes one or I'm sure you can find someone to custom fab one for relatively cheap.

I agree with bjmoose. You should probably do a rear axle exhaust dump where you cut it off right after it turns back down after the rear axle or do one like NYCO: http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/2nd-gen-builds/157700-nyco-build-thread-12.html#post4003935

That way you don't nail your exhaust on something and tear it off, or worse, clamp it shut

Or - on topic to the thread - just get your high clearance bumper with the tire gate.

    A few bolts are different.
I removed my factory hitch to install. I believe all Relentless rear bumpers are that way.

Yeah, if you had the hitch, you'd need to remove it.

Yep, guys above are all correct.
To install, basically cut the bed and bolt the bumper in place with a combination of factory and included hardware.
One thing I'd recommend though, is ordering a pair of L brackets and hardware with the bumper, since you don't have the hitch You'd only get 3 bolts on each side, the extra brackets(copy of factory) give an extra 2 bolts per side.

Hmmm. I don't have the factory hitch - so I guess I need those brackets too.

Im assuming it would be wise to get those L brackets if im gonna have a trailer on it

I would recommend them for extra security and beef when doing recoveries, plus they just help hold the bumper to the truck more securely.

Yes it would be strongly recommended since factory Toyota adds them with the tow package. Keep in mind the bumper is not rated for towing

You need to add those to your price list in the first post. :)
