I'd take that... I'd be nervous as hell leading up to the game, but I'd love to see what Saban could put together w/ a few weeks of prep time.

Some flags and center console divider... lots of things on the wanted list.
I think he is afraid of the speed judging by his comments on the radio the other night. I would love to see the game as well. I would think about forking over the cash for those tickets

And it'd be entertaining to see the big SEC defence vs the high scoring Ducks

I don't think afraid is the right word. He's looking out for his players, and maybe trying to shift the rules in his favor.

Alabama's biggest defense against Oregon's offense would be staying on offense... Long, slow drives.

I know I'll get thrashed for this but I can see us winning all but UF and go to another decent bowl game and most of the Bulldog nation will be happy with that. Me not so much. Every year the same ole same ole. Beat the teams we should and lose the big games and most are happy with that. I want more! We never beat anybody that's highly ranked anymore.

Last nights game disheartened me bad. Not because we lost, but because of how we lost, the lack of intensity, heart, and yet again out coached. I was looking at this game/season as a year for Richt to prove himself but yet again he is proving he doesn't have it. IMO we have the talent to contend for a SEC/NC most years but the coaching isn't getting it done.

This is in no way to take anything away from SC, ya'll have a hell of a defensive front and I had been saying (not on here but to some co-workers) it was going to come down to either how our O line held up or how our coaching staff would call plays to counter this. Of course we did neither. But I expected a fight to the end as usual in the series. This game was a total embarrassment on our end. I mean hell, Kentucky and Vandy gave ya'll better games and I know we are much better than them. This team was not ready for this game.

I had been saying our D looked bad and everyone keeps telling me how we were missing players, then against Tenn. how we played the safety's deep opening up the running game. I guess I wanted to believe what they were saying. But our D isn't what we thought it would be. Mainly due to the lack of a pass rush IMO.

And yet again the special teams bit us. Richt insist's we don't need a st coach. Really?

I didn't even see how the last SC td was scored, I quit watching after 28-0. I never quit watching normally. I couldn't take it anymore. I was at a friends house and we went outside bullshitting and hanging out drinking some cold ones occasionally going inside for food or bathroom seeing bits however.

Also I did see them show Richt on the sideline and just by looking at him I wouldn't have known if we were winning or losing buy his demeanor. Then I saw Spurrier throw down his play sheet in disgust after an offensive penalty when they were up 21-0. Kinda paints a picture for me. Richt waits until the start of the 4th quarter to gather the team for a pep talk? really? I did happen to see that as I walked through the room to go drain some of the beer in my system.

Sorry for the long post, just venting and sharing my thoughts. I'm a Dawg all the way but I'm just tired of the same shit every year and most are content with it. Flame away. :crapstorm:

I like to talk before the game, but wen we get beat I'll usually take my Beatin like a man. All the credit for last night goes to SCs defense. They stone cold stopped the #9 scoring Offense in the nation (we hadn't exactly played defensive juggernauts). Losses like that are heartbreaking, especially when you're supposed to be a top 5 team, but I can take being completely handled easier than I can take a game like last year when we just handed the game to them

That being said...there are teams I HATE losing to. Tennessee, Florida, GT, and anyone associated with Steve Spurrier. I just can't stand that man. Maybe cuz he was 11-1 or somethin stupid against us at UF.

After going back and watching highlights I think we have a claim in the ped state case. Jerry Sandusky fucked us in a round about way. If he hadn't done what he did then we wouldn't have had the kicker transfer over here and miss the tying field goal.

LSU falls to 9, FSU 12, Georgia to 14, Texas to 15.

AND SOMEHOW Michigan is still in the top 25 at 3-2. HOW IN THE BLUE HELL DOES THAT HAPPEN?

[IMG]dwalden2......10-2 ain't a bad record, but considering our schedule and the talent we have, we should be 12-0 at the end of the season. And we'll make it to a bowl game and lose it, too. "Our Team, our time, no regrets" my ass. Someone needs to light a fire under some asses in Athens.

And the bad thing is....most schools would never, ever fire a coach with a 10-2 record.

Thing is that I do like Richt, I was hoping he would prove me wrong last night. It couldn't have gone much more of the opposite way. Not only not winning the game, but again how we lost with no look of hunger, desire, or what ever word you chose. I mean we could have been #3 this week with basically only UF in our way to an undefeated season aside from the SECCG and bowl game that is. To me the team reflects the head man's demeanor, kinda ho hum. No fire.

I had this conversation at work the other day. I said Richt needs to be a HS coach. Or maybe in a weaker conference or lower division. Seems to me like wants to mentor these kids which is great and noble but it's not going to win championships. For instance, I can see Richt doing this. A player makes a dumb mistake on the field so Richt talks to him and tells him we're going to work at this and get it right, it's going to be okay. A Saban or Spurrier for instance I can see saying get this right or I'll put someone else it that will.

So again, I think he is a great man and I admire him in that aspect. I just don't think he's got what it takes to win in the SEC, not the big games that is.

I've got friends, some on FB where I've made comments in similar nature and basically got flamed for it. They love Richt and think I'm not a true fan based on some responses I've got. I thought I might get the same on here. On FB they start posting from this fans that support Richt page. I feel like it's aimed at me.

Valid points.....coaches are a lot like a supervisor at work or a platoon leader in the trenches. Praise them when it's appropriate but chew some ass when it's time too. Nice guys finish last in these positions.

I know the feeling all too well...

When Clemson had Tommy Bowden...i felt the same way...we had all the talent in the world...the opportunities...and we'd manage to completely flop at the worst of times

He was a good man but not a good D1 coach that could push Clemson over that mediocre to pretty good hump into a perennially great team

Don't blame that on that kicker. You blocked a field goal and a punt, and forced 2 fumbles inside our own 20. We are just the superior team and beat you by pounding the ball right at you with a no name. we will drop off some next year for sure, but we will contend for the Big 12 every year...

They had to use tear gas on high street last night...

Things are going to get out of control if we beat TT, and then Gameday comes for the k state game, 7 pm kickoff.
