cash hobbies?

Anyone got any hobbies at home that brings in a little extra speding/mod money?

I'm some what handy and not bad at woodworking, etc. Just trying to make a little slush fund money. Any ideas?

 

I work in IT, and I also repair computers on the side. I get paid a lot more per hour on the side, but the jobs are few and far between.

Cool. My problem is I need a break from the work I do all day. Something working with my hands is what I am looking for.

 

make cornhole boards and bags. sell for about 80 bucks a set

 

Fabrication on metals and such... If you have a welder you can put an add on craigslist to weld shit up, people always need that. Around here there is alot of farm work that people can do for extra money... You could work the corner

 

Lets keep this one going. Work is usually wide open with overtime but we are in a bit of a low and I'm only working 40-60 hours a week. Feels like I have way too much time on my hands on weeknights and if I had something on the side to generate some cash it would really help out with the modding of the truck

 

I've been a woodworking junkie my whole life...and more than just home building. (where I made my living for 35+ years)

I'm currently building a stand alone shop on our property as part of our new home. It is a purpose built for woodworking.

I have created plenty of fine pieces over the years. Thing is...I never have asked a dollar for any of it. I always give it away.

But now that I'm about to retire from home building...I may start to sell some of the pieces that come out of my new shop. However, I'll probably never recoup the cost of the shop and equiptment in my lifetime. So, it's still a labor of love.
