Well I have been following this site for a couple of months now, but didn't join till now. Started following when me and the fam was still in Germany. So I am excited to join. Been in the Army for little over 11yrs, lived in Germany, Colorado, Germany, now in Georgia. I have an 2011 Toyota Tacoma, Black double cab 4x4 TRD offroad, 6 spd man. I love my truck, use to have a f150, but I rather have my tacoma. No pics yet of the beast, but will post soon.

Hey guys and gals. This is my first time joining one of these sites. I have to thank all members on here for basically making the decision for me to buy a Tacoma. I traded in my 2007 STI for this 2009 Tacoma... and I am more than happy with my decision! Look forward to everyones input on posts-to-come!

Thats a great looking truck, Jim! Did you buy it the way it sits, or did you put the lift on?

Hey ya'll, I just drove home my new 2012 SR5 silver double cab. I'm stoked after driving a Rav for the last 2 years (family choice) and having had a 2003 taco a few years ago. I missed driving a truck and now I'm locked into a long financing, but that's what I had to do to get what I wanted.
I'm planning on putting a cap, roof rack, and sidesteps on her over the next few months. I'd love to see anybody's 3rd gen w/ a similar setup. And if you don't mind me asking, how soon should I get a K+N air filter? I have 2 years of no-maintenance, so does it matter if I do it now or wait for 25k miles?
And I'll definitely upgrade the tires when the stock ones are toast.
Oh ya, and are there any surfers/paddleboarders out there?

I bought it as it sits. I did all my research on lifts for when I got my truck then I found this one already lifted with a Fabtec stage II for near enough the same price.

After a month and a half of looking and waiting, I finally picked up my 2013 DBL Cab Long bed in Spruce Mica! I have told myself for years that I would never buy a brand new vehicle...apparently I was lying to myself:D

Like a good American I just bought something, that I can't afford...on credit...sooooo any mods will have to wait. I don't have plans to make it a Baja Taco but the best laid plans...right?

I learned to drive on a 1972 Toyota Corolla. My parents had a number of Corollas and Toyota pickups through the years. I went on to drive a number of American made cars because that was the lifestyle of where I grew up. Then my life changed. A divorce and a subsequent move brought me back to Toyota through the woman I lived with. Shortly before we got married I purchased a 1989 Toyota Pickup. It was 3 years old and had about 28k on the odometer. For the last 18 1/2 years I have driven that pickup. My wife had just purchased her third Corolla earlier this summer. And after that time some of the features that she had began to look good to me. I purchased a new Tacoma and hope I will get as much enjoyment out of it as I received from my last purchase.

Hi new to this thread. Just purchased a 2013 tacoma double cab 4x4 trd sport long bed traded in my 2012 tacoma 4x4 5spd access cab. New truck is black didn't even leave the dealership and noticed swirl marks every where and a couple minor scuffs finally got them to agree to buff it out. My question: Are the swirl marks going to come out with buffing? Is buffing a brand new truck a good idea?
