^ Looks good! And yeah, it's held up WAY better than I thought it would on my stock wheels.

I finally had some free time today, so I dipped my rear bumper. It was very easy to do and so far I'm satisfied with the results. I just hope it holds up. We'll see. All of my chrome emblems are next.

People actually plasti-dip their whole cars, cheaper than a vinyl wrap, and looks just as good.

Anyone have tips on getting a good result when doing the rubbery badges on the tailgate of a 1st gen? The metal badges on the door worked fine but the edges on the other ones came out like crap. I'm sure this has probably been discussed before but searching has proven fruitless.

What's up guys, new to the board at least as a member, been here in the past but just lurked a lil bit.

Searched this but couldn't find nothin maybe because its not feasible.

Planning some major work this week for my 04 PreRunner, one of my list points is looking to Plasti dip my intake pipe. I have an Injen intake system, but the aluminum just seems to get too damn hot to benefit any cooler air I take in. So for performance and aestetic appeal, I've thought about dipping the intake pipe. I saw that its rated for 200*F, but just wanted to see if anyone has tackled something like this before with success. Thinking maybe the rubber coating on the pipe might help it stay cooler than what it is now.

    Thanks

Welcome to TW. You can always try it as long Asti doesn't get anywhere near important parts. You'd probably need to let it sit so the fumes go away too. GL

I finally got around to plasti-dipping my badges today. Now that the rear bumper and badges are done, the only chrome left on the outside is on my center caps. Hopefully that will be gone soon too.

I really wish I would have seen this thread a couple of weeks ago. I more than likely would not have ordered my black OEM badges if I had, they were $$$ FML!!

At least I can still derp my rear bumper and my grille badge...
