With 2.5 inches of lift i dont think i could fit my 285 tires? What are you running? And what are you moving onto in place of those?

So I went to muffler city to check out what they had, I planned on getting the magnaflow. The guy working was trying to upsale me to this muffler called a vortec, he said it would last longer and give better performance. So I decided to look up some soundclips and information and found nothing on this vortec muffler. Does anyone know anything about it? I will probably just end up getting the magnaflow because i like the clean mean sound of it, just have no idea whats so great about this better option that the dealer recommended thanks.

What's the price difference between magma flow and the trd? I always like going with OEM just cause I KNOW it was tested and designed on OUR vehicles. Worth looking into, but your question. I've never heard of vortec. Other than the Chevy engine. Magma flow would be my second choice to trd though. Heard good things. They both sound really good and throaty.

Well the guy said its around 200 for either the magnaflow or the vortec with install, i asked how much if i bought my own muffler and had them install it he said about 100 for labor. so i might as well buy it there and have them put it on, instead of paying for shipping too. I would weld it myself but it might not turn out as perfect as them doing it.

I put in my vote for the magnaflow! But on a side note, i too am a fan of the TRD exhaust first :)

Let us know how it works out with them, I've heard mixed reviews. I need to find someone to give me a custom routed exhaust though. Might do away with the cats altogether.

Muffler citys pretty strict on the legal stuff. They wouldnt do anything for
My car and my downpipes werent even in the car i brought them in seperate! Im
Not a big fan of theirs at all the only reason i give them some of my jobs is because its close to where i work which makes it conveneint to drop stuff off.

Ahh gotcha, but with no emissions testing anymore, why would I need my cats?

Its still illegal to run with no cats even when there isnt emmisions anymore. Sounds stupid i know but its the law i guess. Last time intalked to them they said if i brought them pipes and they werent installing them on my car then they could cut my cat and weld in a straight pipe. So i went home. Cut my downpipe in half to gut my precats out, and when i tried to bring them in to have them weld it back together the guy threw a fit and told me they wouldnt do it! So i dropped off my stuff with midas in eagle river since i live that way and they were way cool about it. Cost me 60 bucks and i came back and picked up the pipes a few hours later :)
