    Is frog lube dry? Like after your done cleaning it can you see a nice shiny coat of oil?

    Froglube sorta "dries" to a paste when it's not hot. When you start shooting, it liquefies. Neat stuff.

    The frog lube website on how to states you can do all the above or just clean your rifle and apply it and that will work as well and eventually it'll be 100% frog lube. It says its better if warmed like stated above but you can just lay your bolt or whatever in the sun first before applying.

    I just took my phosphate bolt out and cleaned it with m-pro 7. Put some frog lube on and used a hair dryer on the assembled bolt after lubing everything for about 5 minutes. As for wet or dry they say its your preference. I opted for a light paste finish and its still running great. I'm purposefully doing the minimum and seeing how long I can go to see how well it works and how much abuse it takes.

    Starting with 10.5" or 11.5" haven't completely decided - I've got plenty of time after all. Maybe a 5.5" and a can for a .22LR upper someday too :D
