Just was wondering if anybody out there running hertz audio? Thinking about buying their components and sub. I was looking at the HSK 165xl (6.5 comp) and hx250 (sub). My last set up in my truck consisted of rainbow slc for my front stage and DD 2512 for the sub stage. No shops out here (Hawaii) Maui have hertz to audition so I'm just looking for some feedback. I liked how the rainbows sound especially the 2512. I'm looking for more of a SQ setup.

If you don't like the music hurting your ears, get em. I've got mine running on a 300/4 and with my new active crossover network, they are pounding out as much plenty of bass to make a smooth transition at the 100hz crossover. The best speakers I've ever owned. I picked these over the Focal's in the display.

I took a listen to the dynaudio system 242 gt and was amazed by the sound. But I don't see myself spending $900 on a set. It's either another set of rainbows (probably germaniums) or pull the trigger on the hertz.

Alright thanks guys I'm gonna pull the trigger on hertz. Also is there any online retailers that sell hertz? I've been looking and can't seem to find any. Is there any dealers on this forum also?

Sorry to say, I don't think the 2512 is where u wanna go for an SQ set up. try smaller, like their 1508's sealed on decent power. I had a 2512 in my A-Cab for a while on 900w, ported box tuned low (30hz i believe). It was one of the best woofers I ever owned, (6-7 different setups) and would buy another in a heartbeat. Just not for sq.

That being said it sounded great with just about anything

I agree with you on the 2512, it was probably the best sub I have ever owned. It was in a access cab and it dug real low and sounded good doing it. Now that I've sold the truck with it I'm starting all over again.
