Does this '07 have the tow package...

I am impatiently waiting for the dealer (who is closed) to let me know if the below truck has the tow package from the VIN information.

From what I have read (extensive searching) it seems to have the round OEM 7 pin wiring next to the hitch, that is standard with the tow package.

it also looks to have an oil feed line coming from just below the oil filter, which again signifies the tow package.

Can anyone confirm or deny?

yes it has the hitch and the hook up for the lights.

 

They can be added by a dealer after the initial purchase, but do not increase its limit from 5000-6500.

I am hoping it has the tranny/oil cooler to help it tow 6500lbs.

 

In the engine pic I can just see the aluminum line for the oil cooler under the filter.

 

Looks like a tranny cooler in the front, not positive though, could be AC

 

By all appearances, it seems to have the tow package.

Looking at the interior pictures, it looks like the cup holder insert (forward of the gear shift) is missing.

 

I don't see it... image is cropped too high.



OP: It's easy to "fake" the towing package, but the trans and oil coolers are often overlooked.
Also, the towing package includes wiring and a relay in the underhood fuse box that is not in the harness on the base model.

That truck likely has the towing package.


From looking at the interior pics, I'd say the previous owner was a smoker if that is important to you... the plastic and seats are showing a fair amount of "browning". Looks like my wife's Rav4.

Glad to hear it has the tow package, bad news about the smoker.

The car is quite a ways from me and I wouldn't make the drive+ferry boat ride if it was in perfect condition.

A car owned by a smoker is a no go. The salesman said it was in immaculate condition, and the interior was flawless with no smells. Obviously he is lieng as many salespeople do.

 

And as many buyers do, as well...

 

Turned out to have an aftermarket "Reese" hitch with 7 pin. No tranny cooler.

I think I will pass.
