It's just my rear fender looks like there is so much empty space above the tire. I just hope it's the angle of the picture and not smallness. The front looks perfect

I just figured you had a particular tire picked out already and that's how you determined what sizes you could choose from. i googled 275/75/16 and there doesn't seem to be any manufacturer that makes that size.

Also I saw 255/80/16 getting tossed around as an idea. the only tire I can find that's made in that size is the BFG muds.

So really the question becomes 265/75/16, or 265/75/16? :D

I don't think it looks bad actually. Personally I don't like when it looks like a tire is stuffed into a wheel well. :D

haha, sorry we haven't been much help.

Like you said before though, you want wider tires. 275's are only 1/2" wider, but you'll notice a difference because you're looking for it. go with your gut.

If you want a dramatic change in appearance, and MPGs...., go with 285's.

Haha. I might stay with 265, but I just want a taller tire just to fill in the wells a little more

265/75/16 or 275/something/16. I just want something a little taller to fill my wells a little more. The width of the 265s is perfect to me. Just want a little taller

Yeah I hear you there... i had that problem when choosing my tires. although I was really really picky in what I was looking for. I wanted a non-load rating E tire (unnecessary for me), white letters, 32" max, deep tread, good snow/ice performance, low noise, aggressive looking tire...for less than 200 per tire. I paid 750 to my door for 4xCooper Discoverer AT3 with mail-in-rebate and puncture coverage from Discount-Tire-Direct. Without the coverage I could have got them for about 650. and if i went with 275 it probably would have cost me over 800 or 900 dollars to my door and my tire options were more limited and didnt meet the list of things that i wanted.

anyway, i did a ton of research before i ended up deciding. it's the only way you can be confident about your decision. lol.

unfortuantely for you, 275's arent very common, so finding pics will be tough. I found some using the search function though :)

Haha wow thats crazy. I live off of Freedom Road - have a few friends who are engineers that work at that westinghouse. Civil and Chemical.

I'll keep my eye out for you.

I see a few regular tacomas without many mods but not too many that I'd expect to see on the forums (except for a TX Pro that some kid drives )

Not yet. It's getting the factory rear leaf TSB right now. After that it will be 5100's all the way around and eibach coils in the front to gain 1.6" up there and level things out a bit. Then come the wheels and tires.

    Wow that sounds pretty nice!

I wonder how many people in the outside are aware of the TSB? I sold my original floor mats to some dude with an 05 and he had no idea. He had some bro-lean goin on with this 2.25" spacer lift.
