That is in fact the exact strategy I am planning on employing with her. I have been working with the upper level member of their company this whole time so I will try what I can. Thanks for sticking with me on this guys, I realize how sour of a situation this could easily turn into!

Regardless of how this turns out Daniel, I for one and I am sure most others appreciate how much time you have spent on this project.

i dont understand why p&l is taking so much time when other companies already have products out for the same application.

I just talked to Maureen at Pop & Lock, Toyota has not signed off the prototype. Once they do sign off, there can be tooling changes, and they still have to do a beta run, do Q&A, and then do the first run, then the actual run. I am thinking another 2-5 months out. Terrible.... with the recession and all you think they want to make some revenue, first in / first out, and make some money to pay back the tooling and begin to make profits....

Daniel, I really think, as others have said, that you should try and call them and leverage them with the fact of our order size and how many times the date has been pushed back and try to get all the ones that aren't for the 09's out to us separately and have them eat the cost of shipping 2 orders. P&L needs to realize just what they're dealing with here. If they end up with 100 unhappy customers that all wander online forums then that cant be good for their business in the future. i know if I were the owner of P&L I'd be pushing my R&D team into getting it into production asap.

I agree I cant see how it would be that much more expensive to ship out 2 orders insted of 1???? It's madness...

Daniel I know its been said a million times by now but thank you for putting this together. I can only imagine how big of a pain in the ass this would have been before all this drama. :)

Lol I emailed the CEO directly with some very strong, but respectful words. If I don't get a response I am going to call very soon. Either way I will let you know how it turns out.

So the 09's will have been out a year before P&L gets a marketable lock. WTF is going on? This isn't rocket science. And I still don't understand why P&L needs Toyota to sign off the lock. This is total horse shit.
