    The one I saw runs from Wallace on I90 south to the the St Joe river. Starts as FS46, then becomes FS225 (Slate Creek Rd). Might be the same one you saw. :notsure:

    When I had my 99 with 36k every noise and click made me nervous that something was breaking or going bad, but with the 130k truck I give Zero fucks about the noises haha. I just say whatever, it's an older truck, it's just got character :)

    That's sort of my problem right now :laugh: ....my old tires were so freaking loud that I couldn't hear anything but my new tires are quiet and I'm hearing all sorts of noises! They could be new noises or they could have been going on for over a year :notsure: Driving me crazy!

    It just seems like the engine is starving and not sure why.

    No CEL? Not a misfire? Only a stumble or hesitation on acceleration?

    A dislodged or broken vacuum line will cause it to run lean and it will stumble or hesitate on take off and not idle very well. A partially clogged fuel filter restricting fuel delivery might cause these symptons. Bad fuel or water in the fuel might as well.

    A dirty air intake system from the MAF all the way to the combustion chambers would behave this way too but the onset of symptoms would likely be more gradual rather than sudden.

    You know my truck was idling weird. I cleaned the entire intake and it was better than ever. Now I clean it once every two weeks or so and my taco sounds beastly and No longer idles funny.

    It looks to me like FS456 (Placer Creek Rd) ends when it gets to NF16.

    The road I'm talking about turns off of FS456 before then. The right turn is onto Hord's Ranch Rd. Google also names it NF985 and then a little further south it shows it as FS225. Then when the road starts to follow Slate Creek, the name changes to Slate Creek Rd. :rolleyes:

    If you follow Slate Creek Rd (going south) it will end up at the St Joe river and the Milwaukee Rd Rail-Trail (NF50) that goes either west to St Maries or east to I-90 at St Regis.

    What is with all the names of places that are named after saints?

    no cel. it started while i was in yellowstone this last weekend. Toy just seemed to really struggle on hills :notsure: I expect the sluggishness on a cold engine but not after running all day.
    i don't think its bad gas - i fill up at the same place and never have an issue - but i was thinking maybe the filter is getting clogged.
    i'll check the vac lines too.
