    You must really like this guy. The guy I bought all this from (owner of a performance and racing shop that build some of the sickest trail rigs I've ever seen) said the exact opposite. And it's not like I just know him as the owner of the shop so he'd be inclined to push a product because it's what he carries. Known him for years and he runs royal purple in every rig he builds. Maybe chase had a bad experience? Perhaps there was more to that story than he cared to post, but I highly doubt a company like royal purple is the "worst in the business" as he said.

    Seems like a bit of an exaggeration, which leads me to believe there may have been more of that, than actual facts.

    I'll let you know in two years though when I change it again. Doing the front diff as well.

    I put in royal purple in my diff and even with a whole bottle of lsd additive my rear end still chirped... mobil 1 ls fluid worked fine, been using Amsoil for almost 30k now with good results

    Royal purple has the additive already added, does it not? I won't need it since I'm a 2010 anyway, but that was my understanding?

    They say so but i know of several ppl that had the same problem as me... no other diff fluid had my rear end chirping. Just some first hand exp with that product

    Your friend may own a shop and build cool shit, but Chase literally runs one of the largest suppliers of gears and rears to shops like your friend owns so take his word for what it's worth IMHO.

    I also run dino oil in my rear. IMO and situation there is no need to waste money on synthetic for something the gets swapped every 15-20k. I do run synthetic in my transfer case and front diff, but they see much less use and have much less chances of sucking water in through the seals like my rear does.
