well only place i could find the ubolts around town was big moe's springs and they have to custom make them ................................. for around $25 each

then low and behold i contacted a buddy of mine that still works at autozone and had him go check out one of those cheap block lifts and the ubolts in them and sure enough its what i need minus the block for $35!!! yay.

Are you flipping the U-Bolts to allow for longer travel shocks?

I saw one back when I was a teenager. He ran the shit out of it. Guy was flogging it through a creek and flipped it over. He was still hanging in the straps hollering for someone to bring him a cigarette.

Cleans up the bottom of the truck so that you don't have to worry about catching them on something.

until you go play on the rocks and drag them on one boulder and either rip off the clamp or smash the threads so you cant take them off again without a torch.

That and it's really not a lot of work. Less than an hour wheels up to wheels down.

    This^^^

It took me less then an hour to install mine, at a price of around $50! That's an awesome price for that kind of piece of mind.

Best $50 I ever spent on the rear of that truck.

I just dropped my truck off with Bill a while ago. Have a few little things that he's going to take care of for me.

Going to need tires, so will be browsing Treadwright for a new set of guard dogs!

The truck has 4.56 gears installed, so it has tons of power. The guy I bought it from said it May or May Not have a locker or two in it, so i'm hoping to get Bill to put it on the lift and see.

Parker, did you find that spanner wrench? If not, i'll have to order one. I need to turn the CO's down. They are cranked all the way up, and causing some terrible CV angles.

I hope to have the truck ready for wheeling in a few weeks!

I'm in for this weekend and most likely next also. Just need to know where to meet.

    I'm heading to Chattanooga Saturday.

If Parker can't find his, I have one Dave. I plan to come down for the ride on Sunday and probably next weekend also. If you could meet us, you can grab it. I'm not looking to crank mine anytime soon, so no rush to get it back.

So Justin, you'll have to tell me what happens with your u-bolts. If you ordered a new set from All-Pro, you'd be able to get them long enough? I ask because I have Dakars (minus a leaf)...

yeah all pro offers them long enough for a full leaf pack(whether dakars or all pro expo) in their ubolt flip kit. which is great. only problem is i dont need another flip kit and they pretty much want the same price for just ubolts. so im just trying to avoid all that by finding some around town for cheaper. (trying to save $20) But now there is question as to whether the ones i have found are the same size(width) as needed so im not sure what is gonna happen. waiting for toytec to answer me to see what their price is and if its not better prob gonna have to pay allpro the monies.

mini update... allpro got the business for the ubolts. it was gonna be $42 from them for ubolts that are made for their flip kit and are definately long enough, or $38 and some change for the parts store cheap lift block kit with ubolts that "might have been" the correct size, or $51 for the correct ones from toytec. so i bit the bullet and got the ones from allpro......again.

Hop City down at Pepper Place on 3rd Ave S. has growlers. Mmmmmm. Octoberfest and a Belgian Tripel. Container is $5 the first time, 32oz fills of draught craft beer are $9.99. They've got 60 taps. 20 are local Alabama keg only stuff that you can't get in bottles or cans.
