So dropped my baby off to have the dealership install the supercharger. I purchased the URD pulley but it is red. 1. I was wondering if anyone knows of a 2.85 pulley that looks stock as not to raise question when I take my truck in for service. 2. This weekend I had planned on putting on my DTLT headers and was wondering if they could deny warranty claims on the supercharger cause of the cats delete?
    Input much appreciated!

What about headers and the supercharger warranty? Is there a break in period on the supercharger?

Congrats on the supercharger addition!!! I believe APR carries the 2.8 stock looking pulley. URD did but I know they were out of stock. You'll be losing your front cats when you install the headers and I don't think that will fly with your dealership with your truck under warranty. Do you have an O2 sim to keep the the CEL light off?

Ya I got the sims when I ordered the headers. So are your saying they could void my warranty on the supercharger because of the cats delete.

Is there a major difference from the URD version vs the APR version of the pulley?

sorry for the blank response, the urd one is 2.825" and can be installed by you with a pulley puller and a press tool which gadget sells. His pulley looks a little different and is red anodized. The apr one is 2.85" and looks identical to stock, same removal and install as urd. Apr also offered a 2.7 pulley and a small batch of 2.6 pulleys. Those both required machining of the snout to allow for the smaller size pulley for clearance. I have the urd 2.825 on mine, well worth the money.

Just talked to Gadget at URD he said they are out of stock and will be a couple months before they have more stock looking pulleys made up. I guess red it is!

Not necessarily void, but removing cats on a brand new vehicle and then if you happen to throw a code related to emissions or o2 sensors etc.. the dealership most likely will give you a hard time - especially with the charger. Also, keep your cats and stock headers just in case.

Are your headers the second Gen doug thorleys. If not get the collectors welded with bungs so you can move your WRAF sensors. Get the WRAF extensions from Gadget. Do it before you install, it's one of those "do it right the first time" things. I'm actually pulling my headers off today to get welded, (wish i didn't have to, driver side pain in the ass).

If you haven't installed the ARP header studs, then just remove the top and bottom studs closest to the firewall. Will make life so much easier.

Can you clarify? Is this before reinstalling headers?

There are 6 studs on the head, which hold the header to the head. When you unscrew the nuts, use I believe a 6mm socket, to rachet out the rear two studs. Top and bottom. The ones closes to the firewall. Doing so will give you more clearance.

Outlaw made a comment about the pulley being well worth the money.. as i have just got the sc installed and am in process of getting doug thorley headers/y pipe and dual exhaust done..a few questions if i may.
Is the pulley difference noticeable?( i havent run a dyno yet )
and have you had any problems with over taxing the engine transmission ect.?//This is my daily driver and i cant afford for it to be in and out of the shop?.
everything ive done is still covered by warrenty (went shorty headers to keep the cats) so dont want to lose the protective feeling i currently enjoy with the extended warrenty i bought for 2k .

The pulley woke up the charger quite a bit. I have no dyno #'s yet, as far as the warranty it voids the SC. I am currently running all my mods on my trd reflash and have had no problems. My truck is my daily driver as well. I have the toyota tow package from factory so I havnet worried sice I have the transsmission cooler. I know that URD is making a stock looking pulley that wouldn't draw attention to its self, but last time I checked they were a couple months out and I didnt want to wait. Check out my other thread, lots of good info there and soon will have some dyno runs up.http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/pe...ave-trd-supercharger-installed-mods-dyno.html

Wow, that looks like an unusual amount of low and simple parts in order to accomplish this swap!
