UTAH (and Surrounding Areas) BS Thread

Hey guys... looking to get some window tint on my wifes car. She called around and got prices from $200 - $350 for the nice "heat shield" tint.

Anyone have a good reference on some tinting? Should I stay away from anyone too?

I got my Taco done by the dealership because they gave me a %50 off coupon for it.

I appreciate any input.

 

What kind of car ??? And how many windows ????

 

I tinted my old Audi at the Tint Factory on State, and they did a great job. 4% in back and legal (42% or something) in front.

I'm going to get my Tacoma tinted in the next few weekends for mad cheap by my buddy's buddy. If he is good, I'll definitely drop his name to ya

VW Tiguan. 4 doors and rear hatch. Planning to do legal in the front 2 and a bit darker on the rest.

haha came on here to ask the same question i wanna tint my windows to let us both know.

 

I've used Utah window tinting. They're on state just south of 215. All three cars they've done for me have been perfect. Service was quick and easy. I think it was around $180 to have all the windows done in an Audi but that was 5-6 years ago. Prob a little more now. Think it was $60-80 to get the front windows on the truck.

 

Car Concepts will tint the front two for $80. I didn't ask about the back and the quarter ones though.

 

I'm right by these guys in Midvale. A 3 car reference is pretty good in my book. Its better than "yellow pages". I'll give them a call.

They put the all the rear windows to %15 and the front windows to %50 (legal). It was the ceramic film so it cuts a ton of heat from the sun for $200. Took it in at 12:00 and they were done by 2:00. 3 year waranty for any cracking, pealing or bubbling. Nice guys. I recomend them too.

Anybody know where some sand dunes are that we can take our trucks out on? I'm going more for a Baja truck then a rock crawler and I kind of want to see if there are any local places I can check out.

 

I've heard of Little Sahara, not sure if you can rally trucks there though- I know it's a big dirt bike, atv, and sandrail mecca bout 2hrs south/west of slc

 

Have you considered the Little Sahara sand dunes?

 

Ya all the sand dunes are little over 2 hours away. I've been to sand mountain. But it's like 2 and a half hours

 

I was wondering if you can take trucks out there or if it was just for atv's and bikes like Trowbocop said.

 

Ya you can but if you get stuck your screwd

 

little moab has some sand not a lot though

 

Maybe I'll check out both places. I was going to see if my buddy with a Tundra could come with and tow me if needed. Just keep his truck where he has more grip. Or I buy those sand tracks.
