So on my commute today I noticed my headlights flickering when I pulled in my parking garage. When I parked I got out and looked and it turns out all of my exterior lights were flickering. With the truck still on I turned them off and then back on but they were all still flickering. I put it in neutral and revved to 3K, but they still flickered.

I turned the truck off and went to just turn the lights on and now they wouldn't turn on at all, so I went ahead to try and start the truck back up and it wouldn't even turn over. I gave it a minute and tried again and it started right up, no problems. I turned the lights on and the flickering was gone. I turned it back off and did this again, everything seemed to be working.

Before I left the garage I did notice that when I started it up the passenger side headlight seemed to flash while it was turning over but the drivers side headlight seemed to have continuous output. I have also noticed this last week that the passenger side headlight has been flashing while turning the truck over.

I'm running 55W morimoto mini d2's bulbs with my retro. I have also replaced all exterior lights with LED's and replaced the flasher unit under the dash.

Can anyone tell me what's going on? Thanks.

Sounds like a dead battery possibly caused by the truck not charging the battery when the engine is running. I'd have the battery checked out to make sure it is still good and, once you get the truck running, make sure the truck is charging the battery.

The truck starts just fine now, and there's no flickering from any of the lights. It all seems perfectly normal now. It was acting up and then all the issues went away just by letting it sit for a minute. What I'm wondering is why did the lights start flickering and then the truck not be able to turn over?

    Yeah.
    My thoughts, check in order:

    - Loose battery cable
    - Bad ground
    - Bad battery
    - Intermittent short somewhere in the system
