What Have You Done To Your 2nd Gen Tacoma Today?

Put the yellow Lamin-x on my fogs.

 

Got my undercover tonneau installed and lucked out that the actionpackers just barely fit.

 

Yeah. I go to buy shit on EBAY and think I might get lucky and get a set of lights. Shame the fuck on me.


I used GE premium waterproof Silicone II clear.

It worked amazing on left light. When I redid the right side, I did realize I missed a couple spots.

I was thinking of going out and washing my truck to test it but I'm not in the mood for a migraine and my Hulk rage to come out. No one and nothing likes me when I'm angry.

 

Yeah. I'm praying with you. It did work killer on left one. I put it at the spot where the headlight and the grey plastic back meet and I could see it squish up in between there. Then I put a bead all across it and filled in the holes that the glass snaps into for extra measure.

 

I sealed the piss out of mine with some silicone 2 haha. I made it air tight, sealed all the rubber gaskets, even plugged up the breathers. No more leak!

 

Cleaned up the Engine bay.

 

Washed it.

I drove it home from work in what California news people seem to think was a "storm"

 

Received them today and test fitted to see if the caliper cleared. Holy hell is it close! It may touch once I torque them down. We'll see....

I never run my Tacoma never ... but ... today it got a workout ...

Saw a "hit & run" happen (property damaged & people injured) and the Taco followed perp for 33 minutes (while talking to 911) until the COPs caught them.
The perpetrator was a very, very drunk woman (all dressed up) headed for the interstate in rush hour. She hit at least 6 other cars, a wall and a building while fleeing.

The chase touched 3 counties and 7 office parks ... and 4 PDs ... when caught, the perp's vehicle refused to completely stop for the COPs until the perp ran out of parking lot ...

The COPs (6 cars) were surprisingly restrained, cuffed her, thanked me and I gave a written statement on site and went home ... and the Tacoma performed well.

Doh, I was just in Atlanta yesterday... I always miss all the fun!

 

... ^^^ ... It was not a crazy fast chase ... too much traffic ... many didn't even notice what was going on. She was just trying to hide in all the side roads, office parks and etc.

In only got a little weird a couple of times, especially when she got stuck in the John's Creek Water Facility and was running all over the grounds.

And when the chase ended, she almost ran over some little kids when the police were walking up to her vehicle and she started driving off again. She was super drunk and crying ... then she started yelling at the police "the handcuffs are hurting me".

 

and when folks complain about the summer traffic in Destin (and yes it can suck)...I always say: drive through Atlanta and get back with me on that.

 

I was the lead vehicle in a 6 car pile up on I-15 N just outside of Salt Lake City today. Five cars in front of me the lane just decided it wanted to come to a screeching halt. Luckily I didn't hit anyone and just got rear ended. I should just need a new tailgate, bumper, and lights.

My rear end sure fucked up the GMC 15 passenger van though!

Haha, I'm from FWB/Destin. I can understand the traffic on 98 during the summer, but after living in places like NYC, LA, Atlanta, & Vegas, I almost miss the traffic driving through Destin!
