Is that the bike track up Kulani? I remember there was a quad trail 5 years back and theres G rd that goes from saddle to kulani, but that road is 4wd.

One thing I need, maybe more of a want, is a rear locker. I dont know what else it would take to make it more capable. I definitely want new rear springs and I kind of dont want to dump cash into a 2wd set up. I have c/o's and im pretty sure 2 or 3 of my shocks are blown. Since I dont know how to rebuild em, id be sending them back up to SAW, but need to find replacement shocks in the mean time.

I'll buy the rear 5100s from you. I need some for my brothers tacoma with about 2 or 3"s in the back. The ones I got him are too long but I need em for my other truck too. I also need 89-97 rear leaf springs for the same truck.
No add a leaf, always had the 1" block back there but I do have a bunch of add a leafs sitting on the around.
Locker up front? Hows that with ifs?

ahh.. my old 5100's are stock length, think they're too short for 2-3", i don't even know how they didn't bottom out with my old AAL

like an ARB air locker, turn it on when you need a lock, turn it off when you're driving around.
would make that makalawena climb a hell of a lot easier....:spy:

Just weld the diff on the front...lock em up when you need to, unlock when you dont need it. Manual hubs may be good to switch to, too. You already have that gray wire mod done? It should be....2wd till you cant go, lock the rear..if it still no go, put em in 4wd and go for broke!. ;)
The front diffs are getting easier to come by. I had 2 back when I had my 02..if I still had em you could go have fun with em.

Is there good trails up Kulani still yet? Im not into riding quad for fun anymore but ive mountain biked a lil on this island and wouldnt mind checking out the hill. Years ago we used to go up there to play mud or hang out. There was a quarry we used to go shoot at too up on the left side.

The gray wire mod is simple and fast! I need to go dig thru threads and figure out how to wire up a elocker for a non elocker truck. im not looking forward to that.

Went Waipio yesterday, hiked up Hiilawe, cruised down side, then went hilo drags. Almost drove around south to hunt Kapapala. screw it...gas aint cheap nowadays.

Kulani is awesome the trails are super groomed you gotta go on a Friday or Saturday. I think you need a pass from dlnr to park in the quarry now though

I'll have to go and check it out! I havent been up that road for years(ok, maybe a year at most). All of the side roads I used to go on were shut D and the only place to go was the designated riding area.

Thanks ahshiet! By reading your shoe box list, sounds like you're gonna be running the same size. Im trying to step up to 35x13.5s, but that keeps getting put on the side. :|
