Yea, i totally understand what your saying. I would like to see whats out there. But i love the taco. If they gave me a brand new taco for what i paid for mine then i'd stay with toyota. I firmly believe i just got a lemon.

BTW, Toyo Cust Care just called me and offered me a 7year 100,000 mile platinum warranty. I still dunno...i just think its a band-aid on a gun shot wound.

Tacoma is stock and staying that way, Pickup is TBA as of now.
You've got a lemon, all makes and models of cars and trucks has a few bad apples that come out of the factory. So far, I have had slightly over 30k flawless miles on my 11. Like others have noted, push the Lemon Laws on this issue. You may just get a new truck out of the deal if you play your cards right.

I think in the back of the owners manual is a form to file the Lemon Law, its different in every state but thats the 1st step. I would try to give it back to Toyota under the lemon law.

    1) Agreed. In this case, the vehicle was shitty. The dealership had shitty customers service. Thats why i went to another dealership and they were amazing. As noted in my log.

    2) I could care less the reason. It happened with toyota vehicles, not every manufacturer. Do we think people who bought toyotas are the only bad drivers?

    3) agreed. But its one minor issue after another, and another, and another. somethings gotta give...

    4) lol, i know...trust me...l know...

If you don't want the 7yr/100k then tell Toyota to send it to *this guy*

Just curious, was your Toyota made in US or Mexico? You can check by entering you VIN here.

You have a lot of issues with your truck and they should be fixed and/or you should have the right to return the truck. However trying to lump all Toyotas as being shitty quality isnt going to get you anywhere

My 2011 has all these problems except for tires. Got my blower moter replaced via TSB, My windshield had the rubber replaced and the squeaky dash and springs squeak no more or less than my 2007 did and for me is not a big deal. Not being used to a toyota the tranmsmissions are designed to down shift upon breaking. Occasionally when coming from an apllied braking situation to an acceleration my truck will over rev a few seconds then shift as well. My 2007 did same thing.

I would probably say to start slamming Toyota in you post in the 1st paragraph is not going to get any one working for Toyota on your side. Talking about how Chevy and Ford are better is not going to win you any fans and these are the people you need to fix your vehicle. I'm not taking Toyotas side just letting you know how I view what you posted. If you owned a business would you want a mad customer posting his bad experience and you dont even know what is going on. There are many sides to a story.

It sucks your having issues I hope you get it sorted out. Maybe contact an attorney and see what they say.

I don't think think a plant is to blame for the transmission. Correct me if I'm wrong but I think they just assemble the truck there, Not make the parts

I remember my truck had 3 miles on it and the sales man looked at me like I was stealing from him when I asked to go take for a test drive. Every vehicle is supposed to have a pre-delivery done before sale. A LOT of dealers skip this. They are also supposed to check fluids/grease during this check.

Tires have a lifespan and those were pretty much done after sitting there that long. There was no way my truck ever saw highway speeds given the highway on-ramp was 2 miles from the dealer. My truck had almost bone dry u-joints on the zerks that didn't have a pink chalk mark near them.

Please go to another dealer to deal with your warranty work. I don't use my sale dealer because they suck. Much happier with work from another dealer.

You've got some good advice here.

Lemon Law & Better Buisness Bureau.

Businesses hate bad marks on the BBB and ultimately they can’t impact the careers of high level managers if the consumer does not agree that the problem was resolved.

I went through a similar issue with a used vehicle. Problems from day 1 and the dealer would not work with me. It took the BBB and the Arizona Attorney Generals before my issue was resolved.

Blow this up on their Yelp page too...But beware, dealers watch these forums. I was once denied service and banned from Fladeboe VW because of bad remarks I made about the dealership on an internet forum, and I even bought the car brand new from them. Not saying this will happen, but it's something to consider.

Sounds like most your problems are coming from an incompetent dealership service department.

You do have alot of issues, but the tires and leaf pack is not out of the normal. A smart service dept would have no issues figuring that out, they're just stingy.

Go talk to the General Manager of the store, OR talk to the owner. Service departments are corrupt, but the managers and owners are usually blind to it until someone says something, and it usually ends up in a service manager being fired.
