I gotcha. I'm wanting to move my billies from 1.75 to 2.5 and do an AAL but its def not worth it to me if I get vibes. I may just do a 1" block in the back because apparently the rear is wear people have problems, not the front. IDK tho

I would do AAL vs. block. No need to add more axle wrap capability than already exists. All that stopped after adding the 1.5 AAL to the 05 with 5100s set on 2.5. Not lifting the 08 that much and would like AAL with no lift but haven't found one yet. Even a worn AAL that would only .5 would be OK. Only lifted .5 up front now and not wanting to go more than .85 if I got 5100s for this truck. Then the .25 tp taco lean spacers + the .85 on 5100s would = about 1.3 up front and I could just get 1.5 AAL and not have it too high in back.

I gotcha. My reasoning was that .5" less of rear lift may prevent the grinding caused by the angle. Like I said tho, I dunno.

Never had any problems lifted 2.5 on the 05 but it was access cab with 2 piece driveshaft. All I know is the AAL on the 05 made the rear go from intolerable lame spongy axle wrapping crap to completely OK. I'd like the same on the 08 but isn't quite as bad since the reg cab is a bit lighter on the weak leafs than the access cab was. Still has axle wrap tho & it isn't due to any inexperience with clutch usage.

I had a 2" AAL on mine and cranked the fronts to 2.5. I got grinding noise like you wouldn't believe. Ended up pulling the AAL off and lowering the front back down to 1.75. No more grinding.

Do you have a manual? I think that every person that I've seen so far that has the vibes has a manual.

That's interesting. Mine is a manual Maybe the driveshaft is a little shorter or longer on the manuals, like just enough to cause the vibes.

Ironically on the 2010's, you couldn't get anything other than a manual and a bench seat. Barebones and nothing to go wrong.lol I even have manual windows and locks. :D

I've seen a couple of guys on here running American Racing Outlaw II's on a five lug. I am running Mickey Thompson Classic II's but I don't know if they come in 5 lug or not.

O.M.E. with 884 springs, no spacers, 2 in. toytech a.a.l., no vibe or grind but when I depress clutch to shift there is a rattle from somewhere up front when I am between gears. Anyone else experience this?

I'm not sure what that would mean... Off topic but your truck setup looks really good. Are you regeared for those 33's? How much power loss did you notice?

Bilstein 5100's up front at 2.5in, Toytec 1.5in AAL in rear. MB 72's, Goodyear Duratracs 285/75/16, Wet Okole seat covers.
I'm 2.5 up front and a 1.5 aal in the rear and mine has some noise/vibrations in the rear and mine is a manual transmission as well. The noise/vibrations are there but nothing that bad. I've gotten use to it but I'm considering down the road, when I get new tires, I might go a size smaller tire as I will be using my truck more for work. May move the Bilsteins to 1.75 in the front and keep a sand bag or two in the bed as thats all it needs back there for the vibration to go away. My vibrations are only noticeable around 60-65 mph.

My dealer told me the regular cab was not available in 4x4 in 2009 so I bought an access cab. :frusty:

Wow, that would piss me off if I really wanted a regular cab.
