This is the exact opposite of what you expected and have seen ENTIRELY too much recently.

What is the best tire for solely ON Road use If i decide to keep two sets of rims (one for on road, one for off)?

A rubber one. Actually, for a truck, at least 4.

i have done some research on similar vehicles and a good tire for street only is the yokahama geolander, good wear, traction wet and dry low noise

edit: you will need 4, and used usually saves.

sorry burgman. How are they on gas mileage? Or is there not much difference on street tread tires?

I mean this is a long way off So I am in no hurry. I am going to replace my stock dunflops when they finally wear out (At 26K with good tread left). I am probably going to run a set of ATs on my new 17" rims and keep my stock steelies for future off roading use. Once the ATs are done I will probably be in a better financial situation to buy two sets of tires

youve got that backwards...use the 16 offroad and the 17 on road

using a smaller wheel creates more sidewall...and can create a larger footprint when aired down
