    I do that on commercials, too, and Jeanne hates it. "Yes, I get it, commercials are dumb!" But I need to point out in excrutiating details exactly how and why each one is dumb, or rather insulting and insidious. Mainly, ponting out all the logical fallacies and appeal to fears and all the things that assholes do to extract money from the wallets of the weak in exchange for things they don't need and shouldn't waste their money on. Like the iPhone 5. Turning wants into needs. I despise advertising and hucksters.

    But then Jeanne has this perfect ability to start a discussion during the end of a commercial break...I'm like, WTF, you know the commercials are about to end...but fortunately, she is gettgin better about not doing this. It's amazing a few well-placed backhands can do.
