Nope. That one is way nicer than mine. I carry the one issued to me. Looks like I'll be ordering one of those though for my son. Thanks for the link.

I like the seat panel, just not how it mounts. I think two O rings to hook under the head rests and a strap that tucks in between the back of the seat and the bottom would make it more appealing. Anyone know of other companies that make these?

Wasn't sure if this was going to get into cab organization - so I will throw my .02 in. As you can see (sorry crappy iPhone pic) I have a seat mounted MOLLE organizer - it is this one...

    http://www.specialforces.com/tactical-gear/accessories2/molle-seat-back-panel

Since I have an access cab and do not like the straps that go over the front of the front seats - I have fashioned it to go over the back access seat. It works well and I had a small piece of plywood cut to go into the slot to give it some body and stand up.

Also - you can see the velcro panel for the headrest mounted FAK -- I really like this situation and like the "rip and go" types of mounting.

    http://www.promedkits.com/vtk.html

I had taken the bag off to allow for the pic - which was taken to show the rifle rack -- which is a Big Sky single mount.

I ordered the FAK empty and built it with bleeding/burns in mind -- things that often go wrong around car crashes. I do carry a boo boo kit in the glove box and a more comprehensive trauma kit ("rip and go" Condor) on the seat mounted MOLLE panel. I also have a flashlight, pair of FRS radios, weather radio, AR15 & Glock magazine, window smash tool and scanning radio.

These types of cab organization tools, IMHO, are critical to getting hands on gear in emergencies - and also - the ability to grab the whole thing and go - having critical equipment with you.

Yes it would, I was just going to order it through the same site that offered the sheet of nylon that I was looking for. It was only 9 bucks for 50 feet.

It looks like just tubular webbing, it's just a little thicker and less pliable.

By now, everybody and their brother, cousin, dog, chinchilla, aunt, and grandmother have a mini-USB cable lying around their house. Whether it's for charging some sort of non-iPhone or electronic accessory, or simply to transfer images from your camera, the point is that they're readily available. That's why it makes so much sense for INOVA to use the mini-USB port for recharging of their new T3R USB Rechargeable LED Flashlight ($119.99.) We've seen USB flashlights before, usually in the novelty section of SkyMall—but this flashlight is completely different with its 234 lumen LED which can produce a flood and spot beam effective to 500 feet. The T3R will produce light on its highest setting for 2 hours, 45 minutes, with its lowest setting allowing for 40 hours of constant use—all from a 3 hour charge which can be "topped up" wherever you find a mini-USB port with no damage to the battery. Remember that USB's flexibility means you can charge from anywhere, a computer, AC, DC, or even solar.
Check it out here on INOVA's website. [link]

So we got a little real world training last night...My wife was putting pictures in a large picture frame and somehow managed to slice her quad open with the glass. No arterial bleeding, mostly subcutaneous and not into the muscle too deep but still a nasty 4" gash. So I go into combat mode, grabbed some gauze and self adhering bandage and made a pressure bandage. Once the bleeding was under control we went to the ER for stitches. 5 hours later she got them.
    Lessons learned:
1)Even though I have trauma kits in all of our rigs, the BOB in the gun room, and in the bathroom I still don't have a suture kit. Everything is geared toward controlling bleeding and getting to a hospital, but as we learned you can't count on the ER to do anything in a timely manner.

2)If you do decide to go to the ER, take supplies with you. They will not provide anything even if you are bleeding all over the waiting room. (I understand, they triage and there were people worse off than her that needed help, but I wasn't prepared for a 5 hour wait)

3)Compartmentalize your med kit. I dumped shit everywhere getting what I needed out of it.

    4) Train. Then train some more so you don't rely on the limited resources of your local ER, because even a minor pile up on the freeway will swamp them. They are not prepared for any sort of mass casualty situation or real emergency.

Just ordered more supplies for the house

I spent some time in my youth with smart people that taught me to always keep multiple means of starting a fire on you when out and about and one thing that I remember having around was a "fire steel" which was usually handmade. Something that a friend of mine has pinned into the back of one of his rear headrests is a "blanket pin fire steel" which I have used and it works well from personal experience.

And if you have the time and have an interest in primitive skill-sets the Pathfinder School channel is full of interesting tutorials.

dont know if this has been posted yet but i am thinking of getting a solar powerd charger.. which might not help with survival but my theory is i could use it to recharge my flashlight/truck etc.. and as your truck my sit or you might take out the battery and discharge the car to me it would come in handy

Hold on a second. Under the seat storage bin? Please explain. Did you fab it? Can't be factory as I don't have one in my 2011 TRD.
