I loaded up my truck with dirt and wood

Glad to see the Leaf Spring TSB is paying dividends.

How many lbs would you have guesstimated were in the bed including wood?
Judging by the pics (not seeing loaded up bed photos did not help), in excess of 500 lbs or more ????

 

Great photos.... Now I have a comfort knowing that I can safely transport some decent weights in the bed without worrying about the bed bottoming out.

i'm not sure if you realize this, but there should already be dirt under your house. You dont need to add it yourself....

Unless you have one of those fancy houses with the concrete crawl space, then i recomend putting as much dirt as possible under there

 

i've had 40 bags of mulch in my bed (filled it over the top) and im lowered 2" in the back and i was sitting about as far away from bump stops as u were fully loaded. thats a pretty good amount of payload u had there!

 

After calling the Toyota 800 number to complain about my initial attempt at the leaf spring TSB, I got a call back today. They said they don't the the TSB will help my situation (bottoming out with 500lb load) since it's for an unloaded condition, but as a courtesy they offered the TSB to me if I wanted it. I said "sign me up" Even if they don't think it will help, how can an extra spring not help. Now this thread is picture proof. Thanks, lsocoee, you're a good guy no matter what ndcouch says about you.
