I think chrome looks better on some colors but sometimes color matched or black is better.

Did it have any chrome on it to begin with or was your grill a charcoal gray grill that came on the lesser optioned trucks? I am assuming the charcoal gray grills do not have chrome under them.

For all of you considering new headlights for the 95.5-97 Tacomas please educate yourself and not fall for the "if the headlamp is clear it's brighter/better or if its bright white almost blue it is brighter" ricer fallacy. If you don't want to make the jump to HIDs then I would highly recommend taking a look at Daniel Stern's products and his Tech page as he really knows his stuff and laughs at all of the "plastic toy headlights" as he puts it all over the internet. I bought the Cibie H4 headlamps and the 70/65W Osram Plus 50 bulbs. This is not the cheapest setup by any means but you get what you pay for IMO.
