Thats what I read that they were calling it. basically a default setting of the Iphone. It allows you to be tracked/monitored. Things you search for online, sites you browes, etc. Not sure if the location setting is active when its on.

My bad....Its activity tracking. You can toggle the settings off, but it still runs in the back ground.

I just bought a black Iphone 5 32gb through at&t this afternoon. I always said that I would never own an apple product, and I had an android phone before this. But I gotta say it is really nice and simple, which was what I needed. My reason for not getting another android was because I didn't want to be tempted to flash it like I did with my last android. Overall I think the Iphone 5 is good for a easy to use interface smartphone, but for those who want major customization and be able to spend weeks finding new things on their phone to change or download custom roms then they need to get the Galaxy S 3 which is a really great Android phone! I have about 4 people here that live in the dorms with me that have them.

Here’s how you fly under the iOS radar:

    1. Press the Settings icon.
    2. Scroll down and press “ General,” then “ About,” and then “Advertising.”
    3. Turn “Limit Ad Tracking” on, so that it is, in fact, limiting the ad tracking.

iPhones are very capable phones, but they are kind of a rip off cuz they are always holding back on something that's no longer a trend but a necessity or not adding anything new….. it's almost 2013 and they just started using 4G….
i have the 4S for work and an almost 2 year old HTC thunderbold that does everything that the fancy dual core 4S does…. somethings even better….

But lets focus on the SGS3 and the iPhone 5 like the thread intended…..
i've played with both and i feel like the iP5 doesnt offer anything too amazing or new like that S3 does or the 4s for that matter (for being a quad core processor)…..but im not going to be bias, i dont think any phone comes close to the compatibility of the good 'ol ipod in every iphone…. there are so many after market gadgets that enhance owning an iPhone, and since android is a more an open market with so many good but also shitty companies making android devices, you'll find your self annoyed that you want certain gadgets that only work with iphones. But also lets dont forget that the iP5 has a new style of charger/peripherals connection which is going to force people to get new gadgets and or adaptors if they are upgrading from an odler iphone… but there is also bluetooth that do benefits both platforms but again it does seem like it benefits apple more….

iphones are definitely great phones but havent really offer anything too new on their 6 or so versions…. i remember that the 1st iphone had problems receiving picture texts while good old flip phones could.

i have a company iphone 4s and i hope they upgrade me to the 5 just cuz of the bigger screen as im so use to the screen on my thunderbolt.

oh btw…..this whole blah blah also applies to iPads…lol

...at the end of the day its comes down to personal preference like AT vs MT, Scoop vs no Scoop, Ps3 vs Xbox, Glocks vs Berretas, paintball vs airsoft and so on…lol

I have both phones. I used both for a month. GS3 first and when the iPhone came out i switched. From using both I like the iPhone. Not get me wrong the GS3 was great but the downfall was the battery. They didn't put a big enough battery in it. I managed about 12-14 hours, sounds good but the screen was only on for 1:30 during my work day. I had to keep a charger(didn't buy another battery) for the drive home. Now the iPhone can last me around 15-16 hours with about 2 hours screen time. It was the same location both with LTE and the iPhone did better. Yes the screen is smaller but I can get through the day much easier without carrying around a car charger. If they put a bigger battery in the GS3 I think I would still be with it.

In the end I will be using the iPhone because the battery last me the day. The apps run much better and it is a better mp3 player. The apps on both phones side by side were night and day the iPhone did run much smoother and better details. The mp3 player on the GS3 IMO is terrible. Yea you can switch out for another app but if I pay $200 for a phone it should be able to play and search for music with ease.

Now don't go saying I am an iPhone lover it is just what works better for me.

And thats why I rooted my Gs3 because of battery. Now my battery last 27 hours on a single charge. Winning

dont get me started with rooting……. best thing i've ever done to my thunderbolt….. better battery life, deleted blotware, free tethering and being able to switch ROMs at any time makes it better than the iPhone 6 and 7…lol

I had a GNex for a week. Battery would only last 12 hours with light usage. Ended up getting a Rezound. I get over 48 hours from stock battery. My record is 5d 13h 15m on extended battery. (that thing iPhones can't use).

My Wife REALLY wants an Iphone 5, or 4s. SO....We went out to the store today, and played with the Iphones. She wasnt too impressed with how limited they are, but she liked the screen of the Iphone 5. After that, she asked about the Galaxy S3. She was blown away. So......julie4x4 is getting a S3. her reasons:

    Storage: 32G internal + 64G SD card
    Batery: 2100 mah
    Speed: dual core 1.5 Ghz.
    2G RAM
fully customizable screen/s (Can remove apps you dont want and have the ones you use most)
    NFC
Can do power point presentations with phone (Im pretty sure Iphone can do that too, but nobody we talked to can confirm)

Voice commands to control phone actions, for example "Wake up, open calender", and phone wakes from sleep, and opens calender. Alhough, I think this is kinda "gimmicky".
Animations on the S3 are fantastic!
    AND.....She likes the color.

So, OZ, Put that in your iPipe and SMOKE IT!
