That's a beautiful color, worth the wait. When I bought my 04 I just went in and drove it then asked the salesman to call me with his best price. When he called I said it was still to much and he should rethink things and call me back. It took the third call before I went for the price he offered. Then went in and wrote them a check. Very easy process and I got a great price. I hate sitting there in the stupid office while he plays with ya and keeps saying ill go ask my manager. Lame, very lame.

I'm about to order a SET Tacoma very soon. I don't want to be "stuck with"
anything. I want to order a truck exactly how I want it and am willing to wait however long it takes. What I want is a AC 4x4 base model with specific options.
Is this still possible in 'Merica?

Thanks! Yeah, I totally love Spruce Mica, and I'd have no other. The sales guy was stunned that I had no alternate color selection. :D

Oh, I didn't know the rear passenger windows come tinted. That kinds stinks. I hope the tint shop can easily remove it, or tint over what's there to make it look nice and uniform. (I have no idea how it works...)

Yup very possible. Will take about eight weeks. I just changed a DCSB Sport to a Limited for a customer.

I believe it's possible on a newly ordered truck. The OP was/is considering a truck already in the system and maybe already in transit.

Tint shop can't remove the factory tint...it is tinted glass, not a film. SET only tints the front side glass with film.

some tint over the factory tinted glass for a darker tint. getting the front side to match the rear sides may be a challange...if this is your goal.

20% film will match up with the back "privacy glass" pretty well. Just did it on my 2013 MGM truck. The film SET installs is 42% to make it legal in AL,GA,FL,NC and SC.

Me too, I just waxed this and took it out to the desert for gratuitous photo pics.

    It's a 1st Aid kit.

The white is water and the red is fuel.

Those are Rotopax fuel cans. Pretty slick alternative to the standard military/nato cans.

Nice color, I have a 2 month old 2012 Access Cab 4x4 in Spruce Mica. Regardless of what you pay, they are great trucks in any configuration, and if you keep visiting TacomaWorld you will fins that they are VERY mod friendly so that you can make it exactly how you like it.

I got the spruce mica on my 12, too, very moody color, it looks black in certain light and various shades of green in other light. Cool truck color. I called 6 dealers and told them to give me a non-negotiable price. I wanted them to be able to say "if you find one cheaper, don't bother calling back as we cannot go lower" I got 2 of the 6 dealers to play and took the better price. Access cab SR5 4 cyl. manual 24k.

Looks great - whose bed rack is that or did you build yourself?
