    Hello Forum,

Whenever I measure ride height I measure from the ground, up through the center of the wheel, to the bottom of the fender.

    I'm at
    RR: 37 1/2
    LR: 38
    LF: 36 1/4
    RF: 36.
with new LT265/75r16 BFG's, Wheelers 3 leaf AAL, Billies with fronts @ .85.

It has a slight rake, nothing major.
Is this the right way to measure?
    THANKS!
    :)

OOPS! Forgot to mention that I have a 1/4" Toytec spacer on the left front strut so it ended up being a little higher on the drivers side.

I'm sure it evens out when I sit in it.

There is a procedure for this in the manual. It involves using a level, string, etc... I dont have a copy on me right now, but I can see if I can find it at some point. Ride height is measured using balljoints and such; not height of the body.

To measure how much your lift kit actually lifted your vehicle, measure from center of the hubs to the bottom of your fenders.

    No.

For most purposes the best way is from hub center to bottom of fender in a vertical line. That is the measurement most everyone on these forums use, so it's the best for comparison purposes. Measuring from the ground includes all the tire variables and really means very little except as a final measure of body height. It's best to always take measurements on your stock truck before you begin because the hub method does have some small variation from truck to truck. The factory method is technicaly the most accurate, but nobody does it, so your numbers won't be directly comparable.

Thanks for all the info so far guys! I will measure from the center of the hub up towards the bottom of the fender since that seems to be the most common method and it takes tire size out of the equation :)
