They won't need to be sewn in there are buckles to thread on whatever ends you want. I use it on my hunting rifle and really like the quick adjustability in length.

I like the magpul CTR stock. It's on both my rifles. It has the normal adjustment lever then a second lever used to clamp the stock down to deal with any looseness.

Agreed - CTR or MOE are nice. I'm partial to the Vltor IMOD as well.

I'd classify YHM as overbuilt - pretty strong but overly heavy. Everything from their handguards to suppressors to flash hiders are just...big.

With my M&P 15 and surplus ammo 2-3 moa is expected, with my handloads and a scope the rifle will do 1moa or less but with the eotech i have on it 2-3 is about normal at 100yds. My M&P 15 sport is about the same.

    Not enough.
Reading up on upper builds and was wondering if you guys would still check the head space even though the upper comes complete.

It never hurts to check. However only way to change it is swap in different bolts until one is correct. Call up and see if the bolt that comes with the upper is headspaced to the barrel.

I don't. If I'm building from components I buy quality stuff - usually Daniel Defense. I know a lot of guys who have built uppers and I don't know of any of them who have a set of headspace gages for AR builds.

Absolutely would not hurt a thing if you wanted to invest in a set though.

KAC rails are good rails, most of thier products are good to go, but they are way overpriced IMO. I was just at their armorers course in July and know why their price points are what they are. I really like the URX 3 rails, but Im not paying $400+ for them.

Is it because of their mil contracts? We have the drop in rails on all our m4's.
