I'm running 33" tires (285/75/R16) with a 2.5" OME suspension lift and I'm considering putting on some .75" wheel spacers. I'm not doing this for aesthetics -- I'm trying to eliminate the very slight rubbing I get on my frame from the big tires when the wheel is cranked all the way to one side. These are the thinnest hub-centric spacers I could find.

I'm wondering if running the spacers will just change my rubbing problems and shift them from the frame to the fender wells.

Does anyone out there run 33" tires with a 2.5" OME suspension lift and wheel spacers?

I haven't done the pinch weld mod, but I obviously could do that pretty easily.

    Thanks.

Don't mean to hi-jack but 285/75/16r are they 33" tall ? Just curious thats what i got. I haven't even measured mine. I am thinking going down 31/10.50/15

Haha yep. OP-do your tires rub on the upper control arms at full lock? This is the main reason people run spacers on stock wheels with 285s

And youre on the right track, spacers should stop the rubbing on the frame but will most likely increase the rubbing in the wheel well and possibly cause rubbing on the cab mount

Evanmb31, I know your asking OP but on mine I don't have a rubbing problem at all I have some 16" Eagle Alloys aftermarket rims that were for a 2000 Chevy Z71 it also has a 3" body lift came with the truck when i bought it.

Here's a photo of the rubbing. I think this is on the control arm.

It's really hard for me to guesstimate what a 3/4" spacer will do in terms of the fender well clearance, which is why I was hoping that someone else had experience. I might just go for it.

    Thanks
