Thats an intersting turn of events. Being that vegas has a TON of frontiers but not many Tacomas. But since this is my first Toyota I can't chime in like the others. Just intersting..

^^^Yeah, that salesman has to go. Maybe one of his cousins works at the Nissan dealership and needs to make his quota or something. No matter the reason... what a moron.

    location i bet.

I'm in New England and there are plenty of Tacomas. Each dealer seems to have at least 10-20 (various configs) on the lot. Depending on the size of the stealership.

Nissan dealers don't have any pick-ups. Only that one had a 09 Titan Pro4x for $45k or something crazy. That thing will be sitting and rusting for a long time!!!! :D

Honestly I do want to test drive the Frontier LE just for the sake of it. The nearest dealer that has 1 (one) is 1hr away so forget it.

i dont know how the frontier does in the dirt but i think the tacoma sucks when hooking up unless u get the locking rear or 4x4. i went with the trd and they wouldnt give me the option of a locker.

anyhow, when i went to the nissan dealer a while back, me and the sales rep. got into arguing about 2wd vs 4 and he told me that the nissan 2wd would outclimb my truck in a heartbeat. I guess i gave him signs of disbelief because he came back with keys for one and said take it to the hills.....

WHAT....i thought...a sales rep telling me to offroad a brand new truck to test it!!!!!!! Of course i couldnt pass that up...lol...we went to a nearby spot i go with mine and i have to say.....my truck couldnt make it up or down half of those hills like it did. better braking and climbing...it could crawl up em...and i got bfg a/ts on mine...

Seeing the third gen section forced me to get a Ford...
well no shit a 2wd will suck climbing unless u have the locker...the OR is the only taco that comes w/ a locker and thats 2wd or 4wd...u also have a long bed and there is not an OR w/ a long bed. i have the sport and i'll be adding a locker this fall hopefully...but i've had no issue climbing or mudding w/o the locker so far

i deleted the original post just because I didn't mean to start anything. it really is no big deal but I'd hate to see this thing get out of control.

I've been getting a ton of good info here on these boards so i appreciate it!

sounds good, you should try starting another thread asking for specific differences (pros/cons) between the two vehicles.
