Geaux Tigers! That game should have never been that close. Mett's interception put y'all at the half yard line for an easy 7 points and Alleman missed a short FG. We have got to get our shit together before Bama comes to town.

Also, I must say that tonight was the loudest I have ever heard Tiger Stadium, the crowd definitely kept us in this one

yep, you were right. I truly believe though if SC would have gotten the ball back on the on-side kick they would have definitely won. They nearly won without it.

I think its more to do with Home/Away. That has a HUGE effect on the games. USC was rattled on offense and you could tell, just like I think we got the UGA offense out of their element.

Also LSU played their best game since last Nov. Got to give them credit, they were backed into a corner and came out fighting. They pounded it right at our defense and we couldnt stop it.

Spurrier needs to not be so conservative, there were USC receivers open at times but Connor couldnt pull the trigger.

IF LSU plays like last night they would have won at the swamp. I still think Carolina regroups and wins next week.

    I'll argue...

    Alabama is ranked #1 in:
    • Total Defense
    • Scoring Defense
    • Rushing Defense
    • Passing Defense
    • Pass Efficiency Defense
    • 1st Downs Allowed

BTW... Welcome to the SEC, Mizzou. "Old man football" is pretty tough, huh?

Sincerely hope the player hurt in the last minute is OK. Shitty way to end the game.

They were just trying to run the clock out and end the game. Mizzou snapped the ball once, and Alabama snapped it once (or twice?). Nobody was running plays. They just needed to run the clock and end it.

There was no sense in calling an injury timeout and holding up the game 15 minutes when the only thing either team was going to do was down the ball. IMO, they did the right thing.

South Carolina (6-1, 4-1), meanwhile, was unable to extend its school-record 10-game winning streak, which dated to last season. The Gamecocks also seemed to lose a little of the swagger they had when they overwhelmed Georgia 35-7 the previous week.

It would be interesting if there was a way to figure in strength of schedule into these stats vs. ND

Sure....rub it in Jeff. :p I said this would happen......and it's really the best thing for us......a wake up call for the Gamecocks......they're not all high and mighty like everyone was talking them up to be. Now maybe they're back down on Earth with the rest of us.

And now we'll travel to the Swamp. The boys will either fall apart completely or pull together & play again.

This is the point in the season where it's typical SC, or they prove they've gotten past the choke factor.

Anyone else see the jabs between Spurrier and Dabo?

See those jabs too often...the local media is all over them

And this week should be a pretty tell tell game for the chickens...I'm not sure how they respond but we'll see
