Tech lost to A&M 57 to 59. Almost had them there in the end. That's back up from a 27-0 deficit in the 1st qtr. NOT BAD DAWGS.

Wasn't even trying to insinuate that, just from a stat perspective.

I'm not a Bama fan, but I don't see a problem with it as long as the whistle hadn't blown before he suplexed him.

That's a stout SOB right there.

I'll admit, I thought it was impressive when I saw it. I'm glad the kid didn't get hurt, but our guy deserved the flag he got, and he deserves any suspension handed down by the SEC, and he deserves the ass-chewing that surely came from Saban.

He's a freshman and has a little growing to do. From what I've seen of him, he's a freaking beast, though.

Well, NCAA.com has more stats than you can shake a stick at... I looked simply at rank (out of 120) in Total Offense for each team's opponents. This is far from an in-depth study of each team's strength of schedule, but still... The average rank of the total offense that Alabama has faced is slightly higher.

Keep in mind that this is the rank of each team's Total Offense AFTER facing Alabama and ND. I wish there was a way to strip out the UA/ND game to see the rank w/o having faced their defenses. I'm willing to bet that Alabama/ND brought the opponent's rank down.

    Alabama Opponents: AVERAGE 71.67
    • Michigan (55)
    • Western Kentucky (64)
    • Arkansas (47)
    • Florida Atlantic (118)
    • Ole Miss (41)
    • Missouri (105)

    Notre Dame Opponents: AVERAGE 73.33
    • Navy (95)
    • Purdue (77)
    • Michigan State (80)
    • Michigan (55)
    • Miami (42)
    • Stanford (91)

FWIW.... auburn is just two spots ahead of Alabama's weakest opponent to date, sitting at 116 out of 120.

    Holy fuck.......Sorry Drifter but.....................................

Those fucking OklaHOMO's made Texas look like a middle school team.

I was bummed all to hell. The asshole for OU jumping over a defender while shoulder slamming the other Longhorn was insult to insult to injury.

Ugly game. Can't imagine if you had a lick of liquor left after that!

So, Ole Miss is the strongest team played between the two schools, followed by Miami then Arky? Something's not adding up to me. BTW, dont worry, Auburn will drop below FL Atlantic any Sat. now.

Yeah... I think total offense might not be the best indicator of the strength of opponents, but it gives a general idea.

Alabama's defense is freaking incredible, and it has been for a few years. When I watch the games, I actually prefer when we're on defense.

i agree. it was just him showing his beast mode, and getting some attention, but totally unnecessary. . . you know saban is gonna give him a good chewing.

that was the main thing to me. a good body slam is always fun, but when it comes to head/neck related stuff like that, i thought it was way out of line. too many risks as it is playing the game without that.

Saban made him write an apology to the player and the coach. I'm sure some extra workouts came along with it. Still haven't heard if the SEC will bench him for a game, but since he's a 3rd string player, that really won't matter.
