    Canada has two official languages , French and English , in Quebec it is predominantly French , their signage is in French first , has been like that for 2 decades , do try to keep up

    Signage in English speaking Canada is usually limited to English except for government buildings or other official buildings

    2.1.1 Definition

    Section 10 Act Section 30 Regulations

    The product indentity declaration is a statement of the product's common or generic name, or it may be defined in terms of its function.

    2.1.2 Language

    Subsection 6(2) Regulations

    The product identity must be shown in English and French. In some cases a product identity declaration is bilingual in and of itself, such as "cologne" or "serviettes".

    Yes. But unlike all other Provinces, they dont have to show both languages.

    i wonder why this issue is just coming to light... wouldn't they have been told the law when building permits were issued?... i.e. this just seems like a zoning regulation issue...

    ...so these companies have been operating there for a while, ...and now all of a sudden these PQ folks come storming in telling them to change their brand/signage?.. what if these companies decide to just close down and leave Quebec?... wouldn't that be hurtful to local economies?
