So this weekend as you most already know, my truck took a hard hit.

Thanks Gabe (gelo760) for the use of a spare tire.

This is where the coil bucket hit the fenderwell.

    photobucket-30424-1350256360254_b97e54b91b32dd68ec39678c42ac7827b91fad3d.jpg

Crumpled some sheet metal in the fender well as well.

Core supports were already cracked but they are worse now.

    photobucket-1230-1350256361506_4567f6e7fa9a35d8a5f5d077a24440ff730c17af.jpg

Both inner rack & pinion seals were blown. We were looking for power steering fluid leaking and couldnt find it then saw the boots were swollen. Then the boots shoved the fluid back out of the resi.

Luckily the tie rod ends dont look bent.

Damn! That's some stuff right there, Chris. I was so frightened when my rack was destroyed; didn't know what the hell I was gonna do.

It's always great to have such awesome friends around during times like that. Everyone gets down to help out. If you need another spare tire to run as a spare for now or even if you wanna run it as a regular, I'e got a not so tready 285/17 BFG sittin in my back yard on a 17" rim.

He said it hit it going 50, I wasn't even driving 50 in the washes out there. Too early in the season and the washes weren't smooth like they are in December.

Lol @ lack of lighting comment

But definitely need to be on constant alert cause there are some drop offs and washouts that will hurt

Yeah I remember one Summer when my shit was stock and Martha and I decided to hit the dez alone. Fucking ruts were popping up randomly making it a slow moving journey in a stocker. I'm happy you're ok, Chris!

It really didn't look as bad as the damage it caused, I don't think many of us would have slowed too much for it. Biggest problem is it didn't break down on impact, all the edges are still sharp and firm from recent rains.
