    1) My 2012 Metra dash kit I got at my local radio shop. They ordered it fromthe distributor the day they received 10 from Metra's first batch. Lastchecked the distributor was out pending the second wave from Metra.

    2) Carbon Fiber was standard in my particular truck, 2012 Toyota TacomaXsp-x package, rims, tires, leather seats, step rails, and carbon fiber.

    I bought it from the dealer new as is, 35,000. If you Google it you wil find it.

    once the other manufacturers come out with theirs, that'll fix it...

    i have the 2012 kit and im sending it to another TW member for what i paid for it $45. one thing i like about the 2011 kit, is that it allows me to use the factory metal headunit bracket... rather than be forced to use the Metra plastic one...

    So, you used a 2011 kit on your truck?
    Is that what most people are doing?
    My new HU should be here thursday and would like to install it over the weekend and I'm ok using an older kit until the right one comes out

    well here it is. i added a steering wheel interface and a parking break bypass. it all works great. the steering wheel interface from ********* was super easy. the dash kit was a pain because the pioneer stereo is a little bit big for the window that metra provides. might do some dremeling. its ok for now though. it looks so much better. i ended up using the brackets from the scoche kit because i didnt like the angle of the brackets that metra provided. plus it allowed for more adjustments.

    yeah buddy. super stoked. im glad to have my steering wheel controls back. and now that i installed the parking brake bypass i can save wallpaper to my background of any image i have on my SD card. played a DVD (Devils Regects) to test out the audio/video quality. and it sounds good. Thanks again for selling me the dash kit. :headbang:

    does anyones steering wheel controls still work for the handsfree phone, the on/off hook buttons on the right side of the wheel? also anyone manage to get the date of albums showing up in the info. The date is on my itunes but dosnt show on the kenwood

    My steering wheel controls for the hands free doesnt work right either. It changes the preset radio stations. Lol. I was told its the limitations of the HU, not the SWI. Bums me out a bit.

    Yes mine do. I got the SWI-PAC steering wheel control module. Everything works on my steering wheel. Just had to program it correctly.
