I don't know if compression braking is the correct term, I think Anton would be better to answer that. As far as I know, it's the drivetrain and gearing on our trucks that is causing the slowdown. As a really good example of this feeling, let off the gas in 4L.

I love how well our trucks handle it. When going down steep logging roads, it's nice to be able to gear down and control the momentum better, but there's also a bit of it automatically around 40mph sometimes... just wish it was more controllable for the auto. I've never had DAC, but I'm betting it would be awesome as well.
I also think the Ford Raptor's slo-mo cruise control (is that DAC as well?) is cool.

Pics of shit-stain on your seats or I call BS

I've never experienced the DAC either but I do agree with what you've mentioned above. Ever since you showed me about the 4L + the lockers engaged and putting it in (L) I love it and I've used it many times to my advantage when crawling down rocky/rutted trails.

I don't work this Saturday as I got my Muster Orders that I have to show up by 0730 - 0830. They said it'll take anywhere from 2-3 hrs to complete..anyone want to grab some lunch at Fresh Grill in Tigard next to Washington Square Mall? Let me know! Or I'll be eating there by myself :)

    crap bolted and welded together....
Jason, that big bridge in ptown that goes by the train yard and hospital made me pucker up once lol. I was pushed into the other lane. The wins across that bridge even on just a normal day can get really intense.

FYI, I probably would leave locker off when descending. A locker would lead to pushing the rear end sideways.
Giving a bit of brakes is also good, but if the rear locks and starts walking, tap the gas to straighten back out.

I understand, let me know if you're willing to make a drive down the street to eat some fat, juicy burger with awesome waffle fries ;) This goes to ANYONE!

    Noted!

I'm planning on taking my brother in law out to TSF with his Ranger if the snow level isn't heavy during Thanksgiving since my work is shutting down that Thursday and Friday. Anyone is welcome to come out for a couple hours of wheeling. Nothing extreme, he wants to know how his truck does is all.

I kind of thought the tires had something to do with it. I just don't remember my Tahoe doing that when I was running swampers on it.

I learned a long time ago that I don't press the skinny pedal while on that bridge. It gets even worse when it is snowing outside.

You talking about the Fremont? Oh hell that one is easy all the time. The Broadway is also a fun one

It is. I'd be interested to know how the 4 banger does with all the weight that he has added
