    Hello,just got my 2009 trd crew cab 4x4 tacoma last week and wanted to have a pro comp 3 inch lift. What is the best and max rim and tire size?i really wanted the toyo open country at or mt tires .any suggestions?thanks.

    Seeing the third gen section forced me to get a Ford...
    3" w/ 285/75/16 will require some trimming, but its the same for a 285/70/17 or any other equivalent size

    Going for diamo 18x10 and toyo open country mt 33x12.5xr18 for a 3 inch lift would i have rubbing problems? What about a 17x10 rims.thanks.

    anything x10 will rub th frame...even x9's will rub the frame on these trucks....depending on the backspacing i guess....definately lots of rub

    an 11.5/285 will be about the widest w/o serious rubbing

    Thanks guys you did helped me a lot.my next question is which tire is more quiet on the highway with good snow and wet traction the toyo open county mt's or the procomp mt's.

    hey man i dont have a procomp but i got the toytec 3 inch with 275/70/18 (33.5") opencountry mt's. the 12.5 will rub like a mother, i did a slight bit of trimming and catch the frame on tight turns. as for the tires.... they are amazing!!! i had bfg a/t's before and these tires are very close if not quieter than those.
