I searched and didn't see anything regarding the 2012 models.

Is the procedure the same as previous model years? Anybody? Thanks

Yeah, guess I'll have to take the plunge. Snipped the wire with success in my 2010, but I know a lot has changed with the '12. Thanks Fletch

I'm just wondering if you just purchased the relay used on a 2012 Tacoma without DRL's and used it to replace the relay on a 2012 Tacoma with DRL's that the end result would be no DRL's on the Tacoma that came from the factory with DRL's? Of course relay costs $30+.

I ordered my DCSB and got it in last night. I was pissed to find that it had the DRLs, as I'm 99% sure they weren't on the deal sheet I signed.

Anyway, I'm subbing to this so that I can find out how to disable them as well. Thanks in advance for the help.

I'm sure if you go to your selling dealer and talk to the Service "Manager" and parts guy there that they will assist/quickly provide the part number and maybe some direction. To bad you don't have someone local to you that has a 2012 Tacoma without DRL's so that you could use their relay to test on your 2012 Tacoma. :D Anyway, your coming up with a solution would be a real plus to those here with DRL's on their 2012 that want them turned off..

When you say DRL's, you mean the OEM yellow fog lights right? My 2012 just has those on all day (other truck manufacturers actually have the "running" headlights on). I haven't done it yet but the manual shows the wiring diagram so I/we should be able to just jump it to the head lights.... looks like I have something fun to try tomorrow!

The " OEM fogs " you say you have , that stay on all day are your Daytime Running Lights

Has anyone found a work around to this yet? It seems I seen a pic somewhere here of a 2013 light stalk that had the option to turn the DTRL off. That would be the ideal way of fixing this, but simply disableing them would be ok too.

Ok so, it also happens to be the blinker and when it's unplugged the one in the back goes twice as fast.

I also found out that I don't seem to have DRL.. I put the car in drive and everything but them lights didn't come on.. Weird 0.o

I guess I am clueless. Why does everyone want to disable the DRLs? Are looks more important than safety?
