auburn is an 8 POINT dog against VANDERBILT this weekend. Holy crap.

Also, all time.... auburn is just 20-20-1 against the Dores. I can't imagine having a losing record against that team, but it could very well happen for the tigers this Saturday.

While a new USC helmet image made the rounds over the last couple of days, perhaps foreshadowing an entirely new USC football uniform, it appears that nothing will come of it.

USC’s official blog has the details, but the gist is that a couple of AD staffers found and photographed some helmet prototypes that had been commissioned for last season but eventually passed-on, and photos immediately permeated the various interwebs.

So worry not, Trojan faithful; your tradition is safe, at least for the foreseeable future.

 

Eventually teams outside of the sec will learn that a new uniform will not bring a championship. Spend your time in the film room, not the dressing room, ladies.

 

Those helmets look pretty BA.

 

I've heard that teams do this to help bring in recruits. Kids coming in are impressionable and seeing the different uni's supposedly is a big deal to them. I can see this.

And I like BSU's black uni's. Much better than the others, especially when they play on that ugly ass thing they call a field. Only problem I have with it is that black is not one of their colors.

I dont think Alabama will ever abandon tradition for fashion. Its kinda like a candy color or too much chrome on a truck. Doesnt help performance one bit. Just my take on it.

Honestly, name me a University besides Oregon State, Ok State and Army that black is an OFFICIAL color?

 

That is why you see traditional powerhouses (Alabama, USC, Texas, Ohio State (I would include Notre Lame but they came out with new ones)) keeping their traditional uni's. Their name and reputation sells itself. They don't need fancy unis

Here is my opinion.

If Alabama runs the table and Flordia runs the table, and Notre Dame has a loss and Oregon is undefeated I wouldn't be surprised if there is a SEC National Championship.

Even if Flordia loses to Alabama in the SEC championship game, if Oregon doesn't continue to crush (and I mean cover the spread and then some, which they have not done in every game this year) it is hard to put Oregon above Flordia.

Now if Notre Dame runs the table, that is a hell of a schedule to complete and come out undefeated. You have to respect that. As much as I don't want to
