Criminal's do the weirdest shit dude. They'll break into something, take some random shit and leave a couple thousand bucks worth of equipment left behind.

Best thing I can say is get a car alarm, get a house alarm, get a video surveillance system on your house, always keep doors and windows locked. Get a safe and put your shit in that safe and then put that safe in a safe. Fasten the safe to the floor, in a secure spot. Get all your serial numbers from all the things you value in your house, make a disc of them and put that shit in the safe. Shit, take pics of your shit and put that on a disc!

If you wanna get really paranoid, and you should in this day and age, bar your windows.

The fucked thing is that we most often don't catch the burglars and vehicle trespassers. It takes hours upon man hours of traffic stops and saturated patrols to even catch one. And these douche nozzles are doing this on a daily basis.

290k + citizens in Weld County and 4-8 deputies on at a time.

There's usually one per district, then a few traffic guys. On swings, there's more, early morning, there's less.

Have any of you heard about SDHQ and thief(s) that were stealing all sorts of shit from the shop? And subsequently how they caught them?

Yah I was talking about the trailer thieves. They had a lot of issues with stuff getting stolen before that (like project race trucks). But the fact that they chased the guy down and door checked him! Once in a life time chance right there
