Well... it was hard kinda. Have to beat the fuck out of the fenderwell and cut into the sheet metal. That's basically the simplified version.

For a 1st gen you'll have to actually "tub" the firewall and then cut your fenders. It's been done there too. I can't remember his screen name but his name is Silas and he has a 1st gen on 35s with this done. ... among others, but I've seen his truck in person so... yeah

A bit more involved for 1st gens unfortunately.

Yeah I really need to. It sucks to have to carry that much more shit though for what should be a simple trip.

Also tried to replace my fucked up axle shaft with the new assembly. Too bad the new (used) one is for the other side. Had everything torn apart before I realized.

Now I either need to get a whole new assy or a bearing and possibly a backing plate so I can make it easier.

Yeah I need that 7" fucker. Course it'd probably catch and cut my damn leg off. I need to go get more disks so I can cut the rest off. I just need a plasma.

Did I mention how fucking annoying it is that I got the wrong side axle. The backing plates are mirrored so they won't fit the e-brake.

A new backing plate is like 70$ plus shipping.

A new bearing is expensive as fuck.

Without a new backing plate that means I have to press off stock bearing and then pull the original backing plate, press off stock bearing on new axle, and then press everything back together. That means I have to have to do it somewhere I can press them together. And then the bearings are no good and I won't even have a spare assy. GOD DAMN IT.

I think I'll order another fucking axle assy.
