The coupon is discounted towards unit cost not dash cost...Please note also that this unit comes with ONE YEAR FACTORY WARRANTY directly through us. We are located in Monterey Park, CA 91754

The K1 Android Radio we have is available for $599.99 for FORUM CUSTOMERS.

    P.S

Customers interested in qualifying for the $100 coupon for K1 unit will need to send me their email address. I will attach 2 PDF files that need to be filled out and resubmitted. Thank you

Hey, I think I want one...A few questions though:

    1. What navigation software does it use? Are the maps loaded to the device or only work over 3g?

    2. Does this come in the tacoma double din frame like the other ottonavi for tacoma does?

    3. How much is, and where do I buy, the Tacoma harness for this?

    Thanks

    Ah, 2 more questions:

When backup camera is hooked up, will the unit automatically go to the reverse camera when you put in reverse?

Will the dvd video run while driving?

    1. The universal k-1 android unit does not come with a map usually...customers usually use google maps but when not connected to the interenet you would have to download an off-line navigation software from the app market..

I do not usually do this but if you notify me I can include an iGo map for you. This is only for forum members.

    2. The k-1 android unit is a universal unit that comes with the dash-kit. The other unit we have is a one piece OEM style aftermarket head unit.

    3. The harness does not come with the dash kit, but I can include it for $20...

where in monterey park are you guys located ? is there like a showroom or somewhere where i can see this thing in action? i know theres a video but rather see it for myself before dropping that much money..

And are you saying that basically if you dont have an internet connection then the navigation is useless? So this doesnt run off of GPS satellites ?

Seeing the third gen section forced me to get a Ford...
he said you can download an off-line nav app. i would assume for that to work, you would have to have a GPS antenna somewhere...unless it's strictly using the GPS of your phone and not the data.

offline map ?? yeah but thats pretty much like using a paper map, theres really no way to determine accurate coordinates of where you are at.. Better than nothing I guess

You are provided with a GPS antenna so basically your location is up to date.
You can use offline navigation software such as TomTom or Garmin. I mean you are paying $300 for TomTom or GARMIN and the only feature they offer is navigation.

Some customers I have heard switched over to T-mobile and just remove the SIM CARD from their phone and use it in the car.

    So, now Im confused...

With offline map + GPS antenna, do you need a data connection/sim card?

It does not come w/ offline map...customers will need to PURCHASE their choice of offline navigation from the app market

The GPS antenna is for both offline and online...just stating thats how it would work if ur offline meaning not on internet.

No. The data connection on your phone generally is where your maps come from, unless you have an offline map.

offline navigation would be like programs such as TomTom..Garmin

Online navigation would be like Mapquest or Google Maps

forgot to mention some information about the GPS antenna...

it does have a magnetic base and DOES NOT HAVE to be placed visible ontop of your dash...you can have GPS antenna underneath dash or somewhere unvisible and GPS location still will be detected.
