Specifically the V6 SR5 Prerunner models.

I was under the impression that the only difference between the two were cosmetic. Someone told me there have been changes made to the engine and the current model gets better mpg. Is that true?

I just bought a 2013 TRD Sport dbl cab and I cant tell much if any difference in power and the sticker says 19 mpg average so i think thats about the same as the 2006 I had. It does shift and drive better. The seats seem different cause I do sit higher. Even though they were both TRD, the new one rides much better (softer) and is quieter. Oh yeah..it smells better too..:)

Yeah, mine gets right at 19mpg avg., so I think that's about right.
My friend is looking at two tucks right now - a 2010 and a 2013, and she's telling me that the 2013 supposedly gets better mpg. I'm just wondering if this is true or not.

How dare you point out my typos:eek:

And that's more or less what I've been trying to tell her. There's about a $5k difference between the two, so the 2013 truck will have a warranty and the newer entertainment/navigation system for that extra few thousand.

OR should she go with a Nissan..?

They have got such good deals on the 2013's right now that i couldnt pass it by. I went there to look at a used, maybe 2 years old. Interest rate was great too.
