It's such a long convoluted story about how I ended up at the truck that I should have bought ten years ago... so I won't even bother getting into details.

The wife and I have a small fleet of vehicles:
    1994 Miata (My Toy)
    2003 350Z (Wife's Toy)
    2005 Honda Element (Company's Vehicle)
2011 Black Tacoma Dbl Cab TRD Sport 6sp (Backup Cam, towing pkg, XM). The first mod. is an Extang Tri-Fecta tonneau cover.

The "new" truck has 22k miles on the clock. It was a lease return at a local dealership, and I (think) got a pretty good deal on it (about $6k under KBB). It replaces a 2009 Mazda 3 5dr as our grocery getting, Home Depot running, dog hauling, winter snow stomper.

My wife had recently been car jacked in the 3 (She wasn't hurt) and after it was found/returned I just couldn't stand to look at it.

The 350Z is going to be traded in the spring for something slightly more practical, an STI if the wife has her way, a WRX if I have mine.

Anyway, glad to be here, looking forward to learning and contributing as much as I can.

Welcome! There are a handful of us on here from the Pittsburgh area, though we seem pretty under-represented overall. What area do you live in?

    Thank you for the welcome.

Those of you in the area may have seen the story on the news a few weeks back.

    http://pittsburgh.cbslocal.com/2012/09/29/good-samaritan-carjacked-along-parkway-east/

Before anyone says anything, I wouldn't expect her to do it differently if put in the same situation again... if it was your wife, daughter, sister, or mother in that turned over SUV, you would want someone to stop and help them if they could.

As far as I know, they still haven't caught the guy...

The only difference between our trucks is yours is an TRD Offroad and mine is a Sport... otherwise, identical.

    What are you planning?

I'm not intending to do anything radical to mine... too many other expensive projects on the plate.

Truthfully, Pittsburgh is an amazing city to live and work... Like any city, it has its problems, but I wouldn't choose anywhere else to be, and neither would my wife (and she's not originally from here).

Have 4x 5100's and new wheels/tires in the garage now with eibach springs on back order. By the way... Good to have another pittsburgher on here... Sometimes I feel like we're a bit under-represented on TW.

Oh, and FYI, when I bought my truck last year I wasn't intending to mod it at all either. This forum will do crazy things to you...
