Bought my 10 with rear OEM mudflaps only...need front ones especially with the snow coming in MA.

I know the OEM ones will bolt right up through the plastic fasteners to the wheelwell liner. What other brands line right up with no drilling? Husky is one in particular I notice that seems to be popular.

Tacoma is stock and staying that way, Pickup is TBA as of now.
Get off your high horse, happen to notice that the OP is new here? Perhaps he doesn't know about the search function?

OP, I would go with aftermarket flaps that are made of rubber that flexes. The OEM ones are junk, hang down too low and eventually will snap off your truck since they drag and get hung up on virtually anything. I don't have any leads on rubber flaps though. You can always cut down OEM flaps too, but I would still look around for rubber ones and never look back. Good rubber flaps will last the lifetime of the truck.

Thanks for the info..yup, new guy here :) Not to mention new to owning Toyota myself although my wife has had a couple..and hers already had the flaps all around. Only other vehicle I installed flaps on was my 06 Colorado which required drilling.

I had seen some of the OEM for about $60 a pair, but saw the Husky and figured not only do they look more durable in the pics but cheaper so win-win! They also look similar to the molded ones on my Colorado which I loved..considered stripping them off the truck before I turned it in.

My only concern is if they bolt right up like the OEM, or do I need to measure and drill?

I took some plain old rubber mud flaps and punched holes in them. Better for offroad. They've been working for four years now ;-)

I replaced my OEM fronts with the Husky ones. Much happier with them, about two inches shorter. Only costs like $35 for the pair, shipped.

Techno, I'm guessing they do the job just as well of keeping crap off the truck as the OEM's in good order? And no issues with direct bolt?

My rears just screw right into the rivets that hold the inner wheelwell liner..don't seem to see any clips or anything else. Am I missing something? Just don't wanna pull it apart and do it wrong

I say buy someone's unbroken oem fronts for cheap cheap and trim them some so they don't get broken and flop back in the wind on frwy. That way all 4 still match & you only have to buy 2 instead of full set. I did mine like this and have had no issues.............

    Front.......

    Rear.....

Bottom of both sets = 13" off the ground with truck unloaded.

The Husky flaps look stock but they are shorter than the OEM flaps. I have them on the front of my truck and they work fine.

Like the idea of buying front OEMs, but my thought is if I end up spending about $50 to do that (which seems the average cost here) that's almost the 4 Husky's.

Or buy front and backs from Husky for $70 and sell your OEM rear ones for $100 locally or on ebay and make $30 while having proper sized front flaps and all four match. :D

Well, looky there above your quote^^^^^^
I believe 20 + shipping is less than 70 + shipping and no one in their right mind would buy OEM rears for 100.00 :p

Just trying to help and suggesting more options. Besides that thread with $20 flaps poped up after my first response. (At least thats when I noticed it...)

Also agreed that noone in their right mind will buy flaps for $100 on TW, but your local classifieds or ebay is a different story. Its been done many times by lots of TW members. I myself sold fronts for $100 and later rears for $100 on two different occasions for a total of $200 and $130 profit. It is doable.

Yeah me too on the more options thing & yeah I've seen the outrageous dealer oem new priced auctions on used mudflaps too. More power to whoever can get that for them and all that buyer beware do your research stuff. I did sell the set off my old 05 AC for 100 shipped but that was for all 4.
